A thrilling Rainbow Six Siege (R6) festival unfolds in Rio, brimming with intense rivalry. Apart from the fierce contest for the $520,000 purse, top-tier teams worldwide showcase their skills by testing the latest iteration of the game – a debut on such a grand platform for Siege X.

Regarding Rio de Janeiro 2025, it is divided into two phases. The primary event is the finals, which are scheduled from May 16th to May 18th.

Rainbow Six Siege RE:L0:AD format

The Rainbow Six Rio event kicked off with the initial round, which was the group stage. The leading teams continued their journey in the competition, participating in the playoff rounds where they faced elimination battles.

  • 20 teams played through many matches of a unique Reload to Survive system. It’s based on special bullets: the teams received six of them at the beginning to “reload” for each match.   • The top 8 teams of the group stage advanced to the classic single-elimination playoffs.

Over a span of five action-packed days, starting on May 10 and ending on May 15, the team competition unfolded, delivering an electrifying atmosphere throughout.

Group stage: Reload to Survive

In this game, the competitive structure was quite different from the norm. The standard method of wins and losses wasn’t applicable here. Instead, our objective as one of the 20 gamers was to amass as many bullets as we could.

Playoffs

  • May 17, semifinal: The start is at 11:45 a.m. ET.
  • May 18, grand final: At 4:15 p.m. ET.
