At this moment, The Six Invitational 2025 is in high gear, featuring some top-notch Rainbow Six Siege teams competing. Ubisoft has hinted at unveiling additional information about the upcoming season of Rainbow Six Siege during the tournament, offering fans an exciting prospect to anticipate following the R6 esports scene.

When does the next Rainbow Six Siege season release?
The upcoming season for Rainbow Six Siege is set to be unveiled on February 16, 2025. Judging by past season launches, it’s likely that we’ll see the new season start approximately two weeks later, around early March 2025. Therefore, Rainbow Six Siege enthusiasts can anticipate the new season commencing during the first week of March 2025.
New Rainbow Six Siege operation reveal
During the BLAST Montreal Rainbow Six Siege tournament on November 27, it was announced that Operation Collision Point had begun. This was the inaugural season to include a crossplay feature.
In December of the previous year, the Year 9 Season 4 update for Rainbow Six Siege was launched, which included the Operation Collision Point overhaul. This update enhanced Blackbeard’s appearance, and it also implemented several user-friendly changes such as Cross-Play, Player Protection, and a comprehensive modification to how Shields function in the game. Regrettably, this season did not introduce a new operator; fans are anxiously waiting for one in this current season. The last operator introduced was Skopós, who made his debut along with Operation Twin Shells (Y9S3) in September.

The Six Invitational stands as the premier Rainbow Six Siege esports event, boasting a massive $3 million prize fund and hosting top-tier teams. This year’s tournament has delivered some unexpected outcomes since it commenced on February 3 and is scheduled to conclude on February 16. During (or just before) the Grand Finals, Ubisoft intends to unveil a sneak peek of the upcoming season for fans.
