During a casual, autumnal excursion, the pair from Apple TV+’s show Trying appeared to be loving and attentive parents as Esther gently cradled their infant in a baby sling.

In May, during their visit to Lorraine, Rafe (age 41) and Esther (age 38) shared the news of their pregnancy, without specifying the expected delivery date or the baby’s gender.

In the show, Rafe and Esther depict the characters Jason Ross and Nikki Newman, who are eager to start a family but face difficulties in conceiving a baby together.

In November 2022, the real-life pair made their relationship known to the public, following news that Rafe and actress Elize du Toit, who share three kids, had ended their 12-year partnership.

Relaxed in a cozy brown cardigan and loose-fitting brown pants, Rafe, the son of renowned actor Timothy Spall (from the Harry Potter series), appeared comfortable during his weekday excursion with his companion and child, clearly enjoying their time together.

As an over-the-moon fan, I carefully bundled up my tiny treasure for our journey ahead. Snug as a bug in a rug, she was swathed in a plush, crimson pram suit, topped off with a charming blue striped cap to shield against the chilly weather.

In the meantime, Esther exuded autumn style, donning a roomy taupe coat and matching it with flared jeans.

When the host inquired about incorporating the pregnancy into a possible storyline for series five, Esther replied, “We certainly hope there will be another series.

While The Big Short star Rafe added: ‘We don’t know yet.’

The pair eagerly anticipate the arrival of their baby and plan to begin working on a new season once their little one has entered the world.

Rafe previously admitted he loved filming the show because he got to spend time with Esther.

In a conversation held in July 2022, he expressed that he enjoys spending the whole day with Esther. He finds her quite compatible and considers her his most favored acting partner he has ever collaborated with.

He also said: ‘People often comment on the chemistry we have. I’m really pleased that people enjoy it, but they won’t enjoy it as much as we do.’
