Radio star’s wife reveals horror find on her car: ‘Burn it’

This week, the spouse of popular Nova radio personality, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli, shared an unsettling incident that happened to her.

Lisa Wipfli posted pictures on Instagram of a rather intimidating spider that had made its home on her car in recent times.

One day, as she navigated the rain-soaked streets of her hometown, Melbourne, the previous marketing expert, aged 41, stumbled upon an intriguing find during her drive.

Lisa posted a picture showing a spider, seemingly a huntsman, hanging onto her car as she sat stuck in traffic.

‘This guy just went behind my rear-view mirror, so I’m selling my car now,’ she joked.

On her Instagram stories, Lisa seemed to show a playful take on her recent brush with a spider.

‘If you hear sirens in the East, you’ll know why,’ she said.

Simultaneously, a number of Lisa’s supporters and acquaintances suggested various methods for removing the spider.

‘Burn the car,’ one person replied to the post.

Another companion remarked, “Oh dear, this is too much! Is it possible to deodorize a vehicle using a natural substance? What about situations involving small animals or babies?

‘I’m serious! They like warm places like the motor…’

Lisa responded with a sigh, acknowledging that her friend had presented an idea or perspective she hadn’t considered before.

‘My husband has done this!’ shared another of Lisa’s followers.

They shared that they stepped out of the vehicle, called the dealership on the spot, and sold their car. Also, they have a strong dislike for spiders, which is an excessive fear known as arachnophobia.

Paraphrasing helps in presenting ideas using different words while maintaining the original meaning. In this case, I’ve used simpler and more conversational language to explain the situation and define arachnophobia.

After Lisa inquired if you were truly committed to the tale, I enthusiastically confirmed: “Absolutely, without a doubt!

Although Lisa wasn’t able to specifically name the spider currently residing in her vehicle, the photos suggest it shares a strong resemblance with a huntsman spider.

In the region around Melbourne, as per a local guide on spider species, huntsman spiders are known for being notably ‘sizeable,’ giving them an imposing appearance.

As a fervent admirer of these eight-legged wonders, I’ve learned an intriguing fact: Huntsman spiders have a knack for seeking refuge in vehicles. Interestingly, they don’t initiate attacks; instead, they retaliate when provoked. However, it’s essential to clarify that while not dangerous, their bites can cause discomfort, so it’s best to maintain a respectful distance and let them be.

However, as per the guidance, a person bitten by this kind of spider may expect some discomfort and inflammation at the affected area.

As a devoted partner, I’ve shared the last 11 years of my life with Wippa, who is now 45. Together, we’re recognized for our light-hearted and entertaining posts on social media.

They have three kids together: sons Theodore (aged eight) and Jack (seven), along with their daughter Francesca who is four years old.
