BBC radio host Tim Jibson has passed away at the age of 76.
On Wednesday, it became public knowledge that the presenter had passed away earlier this month following the publication of his obituary.
He passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on February 9, enveloped by the love of his family, following a splendid day spent vacationing.
He leaves behind his wife, Ann Marie Jibson, along with his three children, Michael, Paul, and Lexi, in addition to three grandchildren.
The obituary noted that Tim was a cherished friend to numerous individuals, and it expressed hope that he would rejoin his dearly departed relatives.
For a significant part of his professional life, which spans over four decades, Tim kick-started his journey and spent a considerable amount of time working at BBC Radio Humberside.

This star-featured showcase included the Paul Hunsley Electric Wireless Show, as well as interviews with notable figures such as Marc Bolan, lead singer of T. Rex, and the iconic Tammy Wynette, who has since passed away.
He also worked for Beverley FM and Viking FM during his decades-long career in the industry.
Tim’s sons have followed his footsteps into the entertainment industry and are both actors.
Michael was awarded an Olivier Prize for his exceptional portrayal in King George III, as part of the initial cast of Hamilton on the West End stage.
The actor, wedded to his fellow thespian Caroline Sheen, has made appearances on various television series, such as Netflix’s “Bodies” and ITV’s “Quiz.
Taking to Twitter friends and colleagues shared their condolences after hearing the news.
They wrote: ‘Sadly, I learned about the demise of my dear friend Tim Jibson. Tim was instrumental in giving me an opportunity in radio and had faith in me when many others did not.’
For almost half a century, he was my cherished friend. There’s so much I owe him. My heart goes out to Ann Marie, Mike, Paul, and the entire family and circle of friends during this difficult time.

Oh, what a pity! The popular radio shows ‘Russ & Jono’ on Virgin Radio wouldn’t have come to life without the contributions of Tim and Ann-Marie back in the day.
It’s sad to learn that the radio personality from my childhood, Tim Jibson, has passed away. I was a big fan of his bold “Paull Hunsley Electric Wireless show” on Radio Humberside.
I’m sorry to announce that one of my favorite radio figures from my youth, Tim Jibson, has sadly passed away. His daring “Paull Hunsley Electric Wireless show” on Radio Humberside was a must-listen for me back then.
‘And he kindly offered my first invitation into a radio studio. RIP legend’;
Oh dear, this news is more impactful than I anticipated. It’s heartbreaking indeed. Instantly, memories of my youth and Paul Hunsley flood my mind.
“Tim consistently offered support and encouragement. His distinctive voice was widely recognized throughout East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. Farewell, Tim.
