Radio Host Quits After Son’s Drunken Kiss Scandal Shakes Family Dynamics!

It appears that Danny Jones’ father, Alan, has left his radio job following a disagreement with his coworkers about Danny’s public kiss with Maura Higgins while under the influence of alcohol.

Last week, news outlets featured the 38-year-old McFly star who is married, following leaked videos that captured him exchanging a kiss with a Love Island celebrity at a BRIT Awards after party. A second video suggests they spent hours drinking wine together until 6am.

Currently, it appears that Alan is quite distressed due to remarks his coworkers have made regarding Danny’s actions at the radio station they all work together at.

Alan serves as a host on Fresh Radio Spain, located in Benidorm. He presents a three-hour segment on the station every weekday.

However, according to a source, after Alan found out that his colleagues called Danny a ‘pig’ due to his kiss with Maura, he decided to resign from his position at the station.

According to a report, Danny’s father has decided not to return to his radio program, and he angrily scolded the station personnel following an incident where two of his co-hosts made fun of Danny during their live broadcast.

It’s distressing for him when others discuss Danny’s marital issues, which he had already shared with them, as if they were privy to the information themselves.

Following the discovery that his fellow presenters had referred to his son as a “pig” due to his kiss with Maura Higgins, it’s been an extremely distressing period for Alan, who had previously enjoyed his role on Fresh.

Previously, Alan mentioned that he and Danny haven’t exchanged words for eighteen years now, and the musician has yet to pay a visit to his father who relocated to Spain back in 2016.

Last year in an interview with TopMob, Alan, aged 72, expressed his conviction that a harsh divorce from Kathy, Danny’s mother, negatively impacted his bond with his son. He referred to Danny as a “wonderful young man” with a “generous heart.

Alan said: ‘It should have been a time where the marriage got a bit closer, but it didn’t.

For some reason unknown to me, it didn’t work out, leading to two extremely challenging years. Interestingly, Danny observed this situation with his sister, and they composed a song about it… And then I encountered Sharon, and that marked a turning point.

Back in 2005, Danny was 19 years old when Alan chose to leave the family. Earlier accounts also show that Danny sought therapeutic help due to feelings of anxiety triggered by this event.

In a discussion about white wine in 2022, he shared that at the age of 19, following his father’s departure, he experienced a significant wave of anxiety.

‘It’s hard for a kid because you crave that [stability] and you miss it.’

On Sunday, it was proposed in a recent report that Danny’s wife, Georgia, delivered a firm caution during confidential discussions regarding their marriage, due to concerns that a third video from that fateful night might surface.

According to a source, it’s clear why Danny and his spouse have been keeping a low profile lately. It seems they’ve been dealing with conversations sparked by the initial video release. Now, given the second video, it’s time for Danny to address the situation openly.

At this stage, it might be best for Danny to pause his career and have the courage to address everyone, clarify the situation, and accept some responsibility for what transpired.

It’s clearly not right for his spouse, who appears to have prioritized their family and marriage. It remains uncertain whether more videos might surface, but at this point, truthfulness is the key to potentially resolving this situation.

According to reports, Maura and Danny are said to have continued celebrating past midnight, enjoying some wine together, following their “passionate kiss” at the BRIT Awards afterparty.

They were reportedly asserted to have left together in different taxis and later attended a Sony party at Nobu Hotel in Marylebone. It’s said that they continued drinking wine there until 6 am.

A bystander informed The Sun, “Danny and Maura appeared to enjoy their evening of celebrating and showed no signs of ending the festivities.

At Nobu, starting from 4 a.m., they were consuming wine rapidly without pause, showing no signs of slowing down. It wasn’t until after 6 a.m. that they were observed departing.

According to the report, it was stated that Maura and Danny were observed having a private conversation and sharing laughter while the celebration went on.

Since the ‘kiss’ incident, neither Georgia nor Danny has made any public statements. Interestingly, Georgia also cancelled her scheduled appearance at The Baby Show this weekend.
