Radio host Adam Carolla dropped by Hollywood pals after blasting ex-wife over divorce settlement

After twenty years of friendship, Adam Carolla and Bill Simmons may have had a falling out, reportedly caused by Adam Carolla’s ongoing resentment towards his former wife, Lynette Paradise.

Carolla and Simmons have been friends since the early 2000s. Over the years, Carolla frequently appeared as a guest on Simmons’ different shows and podcasts.

I’m hearing from sources that Jennifer Simmons is upset with some things Adam Carolla said about her online. Apparently, it’s gotten to the point where Bill Simmons has uninvited Adam from his annual Christmas party. It’s definitely a bit of holiday drama unfolding!

Following their divorce in 2021, the comedian, a supporter of Donald Trump, paid his ex-spouse around $4 million and $32,000 each month in alimony. He also paid $17,000 monthly in child support for their two children, but this ended when they both turned 19.

Carolla recently publicly criticized Paradise online because of the large financial settlement. She now believes this has caused Simmons to become more distant from her.

On her podcast, For Crying Out Loud, Paradise shared that she recently went to a Christmas party hosted by Simmons, where she ran into comedian Sal Iacono and his wife, Melissa.

Paradise remembered that his close friend Melissa told him they hadn’t invited Adam because Bill disapproved of Adam’s activity on the platform X.

‘I was so touched. And Melissa was like, “Yeah, a lot of people saw that and were not happy.”

She said Bill told her that people generally avoid getting involved in divorces, but he was particularly put off by this situation and didn’t support it.

‘It was really nice to see some of his friends there that told me that,’ she added.

Daily Mail has contacted Carolla and Simmons for comment.

Last month, comedian Adam Carolla became a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter) when he revealed he needs to keep working to help fund his animal rescue, Paradise.

‘I wish I could retire but I have to work to pay for everything,’ he posted.

In my divorce, I was required to give my ex-wife my retirement savings. After working for thirty years to build that account, it ended up going to someone who didn’t choose to work. It really makes you think about the importance of character in our society.

Carolla and Paradise wed in 2002 and are parents to 19-year-old twins, Natalia and Santino, nicknamed ‘Sonny’ Richard Carolla.

In May 2021, the star of Crank Yankers revealed that he and his wife, Paradise, were getting divorced after being married for 19 years.

He broke the news of the end of his marriage on an episode of his podcast, The Adam Carolla Show.

It breaks my heart to share that Lynette and I are divorcing. It’s honestly something I never wanted – not for myself, and not for us. Both Lynette and I come from divorced families, so we both know the pain it causes. Truly, no one ever plans for this to happen; it’s just… devastating.

We’ve been apart for a few months, and it’s been difficult. My children are my priority, and I’m focusing on them right now, as they need me to.

Things have been challenging lately. After 25 years together, it’s clear we’re very different people with different ways of looking at the world.

He then clarified that infidelity didn’t play a role in the demise of their marriage. 

I’ve been following this situation closely, and what I’ve gathered is that it wasn’t some big scandal or a hidden problem like gambling or even anything to do with the pandemic. It really just boiled down to two people who were fundamentally different in how they lived their lives and how they approached things. They just couldn’t find a way to compromise and meet each other halfway, and that’s what ultimately led to this.

Divorce is common, and many people go through it, but it just wasn’t something I ever expected for myself.

He concluded by saying he didn’t really have a choice in the matter. His approach was always to find a way to fix things, but he realized that if something couldn’t be fixed, it was probably for the best, and he was now at peace with that.
