As a seasoned observer of celebrity lives, I must admit that Rachel Stevens‘ journey has been quite intriguing. From her days as an S Club 7 member to her personal life unfolding before our eyes, she seems to be navigating her experiences with grace and resilience.
On a casual day out in London on Friday, Rachel Stevens elegantly displayed her fashion flair by teaming a neat white blouse with blue denim pants.
At age 46, the singer drew attention in her group, where she accessorized with a pair of expensive Chanel quilted sandals worth approximately £2,000.
She added elegance to her look with a pair of sunglasses, and finished off her casual daytime style with a large black belt.
After collecting two smoothies from Joe & The Juice, she appeared cheerful as she took a sip from her drink.
Rachel headed back to her convertible and was spotted driving with a pal in the passenger seat.
After Rachel confessed that she found herself in a state of confusion following her admission of filing for divorce from her former husband, Alex Bourne, she began to wonder if her decision was indeed correct.
In 2022, after twelve years of marriage to Alex, aged 47, I found myself entangled in an unexpected romance. My heart had taken a leap I never thought it would, right into the arms of my Dancing On Ice partner, Brendyn Hatfield, at the ripe age of 37. The spark between us was undeniable, and unfortunately, it led to the end of my marriage.
Rachel acknowledged that choosing to dissolve her marriage was a difficult decision, but she felt it was essential to demonstrate to her daughters, Amelie and Minnie, that true happiness should always be prioritized.
She shared with The Mirror, “I was troubled by many doubts and uncertainties… ‘Have I made the correct decision?’ I found myself in a state of confusion.”
She added: ‘The main thing was the children. It was a really hard time but I’m not someone who believes in staying in a relationship for the children.’
Additionally, she admitted that, as parents, they strove to demonstrate to their kids the ways to find happiness and the art of loving during their lives.
Rachel acknowledged the difficulty in navigating the situation, stating: “Navigating this isn’t a walk in the park, but that’s just life. It’s about demonstrating to children that there’s more to life than simply getting married and having kids.”
After Rachel and the property tycoon parted ways, they decided to emulate actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, by pursuing a friendly divorce.
As reported by The Mirror, they prioritized their children’s needs in all their choices and sought counseling to strategize the best way to inform their daughters about a significant change in their family situation.

Rachel, with concerns over the impact of the divorce on their offspring, aimed to comfort her kids and instill a sense of security within them.
She asserted that they, her and Alex, shared the same desire, expressing it as follows: ‘It was primarily focused on ensuring their sense of our presence and continuity.’
Besides confessing about their mutual respect, the performer acknowledged that they avoid criticizing one another. Regardless of their current issues, they strive to maintain a distance from each other when possible.
In July 2022, she revealed that she parted ways with her longtime love, Alex, a mere month before their 13th anniversary was set to take place.
In November 2023, Rachel officially started dating skater Brandyn. They had initially met and become friends during their time on the ITV show in early 2022, before they began their romantic relationship.
The star previously revealed how falling for Brendyn led to her ‘messy’ split from Alex.
In conversation with The Sun, she confessed, “The separation was complex. I recognized the growth, both mine and our relationship’s, but I found myself in a state of confusion, primarily due to my children being involved.”
Rachel reminisced about the moment when she disclosed to her former spouse, Alex, that Brendyn had admitted, ‘That was truly terrifying, as I realized immediately that things would change after I spoke.’
In Week 4, it was regrettable that Rachel and Brendyn were amongst the initial pairs to be removed from the skating series, but this setback didn’t dampen their relationship. Instead, they managed to keep their bond intact.
A source mentioned back then: ‘Rachel had an exceptional bond of friendship and collaboration with Brendyn, which continues to flourish… She didn’t anticipate discovering love once more at this point in her journey, but she’s optimistic about the future and eager for a fresh beginning.’
Sharing some personal news, Rachel posted on Instagram: ‘After careful thought and reflection, it’s been decided between Alex and me that our paths will now be separate.’
Although we’re no longer a married couple, we’ll continue to be co-parents, nurturing our lovely daughters with love and respect for one another.
I’m deeply appreciative of the life we’ve created together, and going forward, our focus remains united as a family, progressing hand in hand.
In 2009, Rachel and her long-time sweetheart, Alex, whom she had reunited with as adults, got married at Claridge’s hotel located in London.
The couple strolled along the aisle as S Club 7’s song “Never Had A Dream Come True” played, and their bandmates – Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, and Tina Barrett – were present to witness them exchange their vows.
