Approximately a year has passed since the divorce papers were submitted, and Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have now legally ended their relationship.

On Tuesday, it was reported by Page Six that the ex-lovers, who first encountered each other and developed feelings during Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, officially ended their marriage.

Abasolo filed to end their marriage in January 2024, and the divorce has been contentious.

In simpler terms, the couple did not have a pre-wedding agreement, and during the summer, a judge ordered Lindsay, who is 39 years old, to pay Abasolo more than $13,000 per month as temporary spousal support. However, recent court documents show that Abasolo has chosen to forgo any future payments from Lindsay that she was supposed to make.

Documents obtained by Us Weekly also show that Lindsay still owes $460,229 to her ex.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m fortunate to retain several cherished belongings close to my heart – my wedding ring, the keys to my stylish 2021 Honda Accord, and my beloved home nestled in vibrant Miami.

In terms of Lindsay, she gets to retain the Neil Lane engagement ring, along with a 2023 Porsche Macan and her residence in North Hollywood.

In addition to their responsibilities, they are required to cover the costs of their respective lawyers. The ruling does not include the $20,000 that Lindsay previously paid for Abasolo’s legal representation, as reported by Page Six.

Lindsay and Abasolo met on The Bachelor in 2017 and tied the knot in 2019.

They called it quits in December 2023 after four years of marriage.

Recently, Lindsay spoke about noticing red flags in her relationship with her ex but ignoring them.

On an episode of The View, which aired on December 3, she admitted she was ‘wrapped up in shame.’

‘I know this all too well right now,’ she confessed to the talk show hosts.

For those unaware, I encountered my former partner during ‘The Bachelor’. At present, we are navigating through our divorce process, and it’s quite intriguing as we go along.

‘We met, we dated for two and a half years, we went and got married,’ she recalled.

She mentioned, “We were often viewed as one of the most thriving partnerships born from the program. Regardless of where I went, people would inquire about our relationship.

You may find yourself under public scrutiny, feeling compelled to project an image of everything being fine, even when privately things aren’t perfect – perhaps because you’re dealing with issues, having a tough day, or facing challenges – whatever the reason may be.

She added: ‘Much of it is tied up with feelings of shame. It’s not easy for you to admit that it slipped. You’re anxious about being perceived differently by others.’

Lindsay finds herself wishing she had a prenuptial agreement now, following the speculation about her blossoming relationship with country artist Willie Jones.

The celebrity casually shared during an interview on the Hidden Gems With Natasha Parker podcast that although many ask, ‘Given that you’re a lawyer, do you have a prenuptial agreement?’ – the answer is no.

She elaborated on her rationale behind her lack of action, stating, ‘I didn’t act because my current financial situation contrasts significantly with the one I had when I got married. Back then, our finances were more balanced, and I was not residing in California.’

Lindsay asserts that she suggested to her former fiance that a prenuptial agreement was beneficial, however, they didn’t see eye-to-eye on the matter.

Speaking about their wedding in August 2019, which took place at a different point in time, she openly confessed that she made decisions based on emotions rather than rational thinking.

She mentioned that she preferred to keep things under control, so they didn’t bring up the matter in the first place. Looking back now, she wishes she had handled it differently.
