Rachel Bilson shared a rare photo of her mini-me daughter Briar for her birthday.
The actress posted a loving message on Instagram celebrating her daughter’s 11th birthday on Wednesday, October 29th.
In the photo, her daughter, who is a preteen, is wearing a striped summer outfit – a camisole and pants. She’s reaching up with her arm to grab leaves from a tree.
She lovingly called her daughter Briar her “Golden Girl” while wishing her a happy 11th birthday, and included three yellow hearts in her message.
As someone who’s navigated life in the public eye, I’m often asked about my family. I’m a mom to a wonderful daughter with my ex, Hayden Christensen. We were together for about ten years, from 2007 to 2017, and while our relationship changed, we both prioritize co-parenting and our little one’s happiness.
This follows Bilson’s recent revelation that she was fired from a job after making an inappropriate comment about sex during a podcast interview.

She also took to her Instagram Story to share a glimpse at how they celebrated Briar’s special day.
Bilson shared a snapshot of her homemade key lime pie.
Over the snap, she wrote: ‘She requested my key lime pie. Don’t judge a book… Made with love.’
Bilson shares her daughter with Christensen, 44.
I still remember when they announced Briar’s arrival in 2014! It was such a happy moment. It’s crazy to think they’d been together for six years already – ever since they first met on the set of Jumper back in 2008. That movie will always be special to me, knowing it’s where it all began for them!
When Briar was three years old, the pair called it quits but have continued co-parenting amicably.
In 2021, Bilson opened up about their friendly relationship and their successful co-parenting.
She emphasized the importance of clear communication and focusing on what’s best for the child. ‘If you always prioritize the child’s needs, things will work out,’ she shared.

On her podcast, Broad Ideas, co-hosted with Olivia Allen, Rachel Bilson discussed her daughter’s personality, noting how it’s quite different from her own.
‘Bry’s definitely a different kid than I was. Like 100 percent,’ Bilson told Allen on the podcast.
‘I almost feel weird talking about it with other parents because she doesn’t throw fits,’ she added.
Her emotional state really affects me. If she’s ever feeling down or bothered, it throws me off balance.
She explained her hesitation to boast about her daughter by saying it comes across as implying other children do throw tantrums.
‘You know, but I’m like, no. It’s actually the truth.’
