Brazil’s top Rainbow Six Siege esports team suffered a disappointing setback at the Munich Major 2025. Once considered the world’s best, they were eliminated from the competition sooner than expected. Focusing on regional competition is a good step towards rebuilding their strength.
Brazil’s top four Rainbow Six teams – FURIA, FaZe Clan, w7m esports, and Team Liquid – are competing in the South American League (SAL) Finals 2026 to decide who will be crowned regional champion.

Teams from well-established esports regions are more likely to perform well in major international tournaments. The R6 SAL Finals 2026 will give the best Rainbow Six Siege teams valuable practice before the Six Invitational 2026.
Winning these finals guarantees a spot in the World Championship. However, with Brazilian teams consistently ranking highly worldwide, success here is more about intense preparation and regional pride. Despite this, Team Liquid still needs to qualify.

Battles of the strongest
South America has become a stronger competitor in Rainbow Six Siege esports thanks to the integration with the Brazilian League. Currently, Brazil dominates the region’s top rankings.
Teams that didn’t reach the finals simply faced exceptionally strong competition. The skill level in SAL is incredibly high.
FURIA, FaZe, and w7m esports were seeded to the upper semifinals.
- In the match against R6 FaZe Clan, w7m esports had to recover from losing on Bank. They brought the battle to the decisive map, and won it confidently — 7:2 on Kafe.
- FURIA absolutely destroyed Ninjas in Pyjamas, winning with 7:1 on Kafe and 7:2 on Lair.
- R6 Team Liquid went through the lower brackets, where they had pretty tough matches against LOUD and NiP.
- In the upper final, FURIA defeated w7m esports with a 2:0. Both maps were competitive, but not extremely close.
Struggles at the Munich Major
The updated version of Rainbow Six Siege, now called Rainbow Six Siege X, proved popular in Brazil. The country hosted RE:LO:AD 2025, the first international Rainbow Six Siege X competition, and the Brazilian team, FURIA, emerged victorious.
Unfortunately, the SAL teams didn’t make it to the grand final of the 2025 Rainbow Six European Championship. The Munich Major 2025 wasn’t successful for them either, as Team Liquid didn’t even participate.
- w7m esports couldn’t make it even from the Swiss Stage. In the final match, they were defeated by FURIA.
- Ninjas in Pyjamas and FURIA were eliminated in the opening match of the Playoffs. They lost to Wildcard and Team Secret.
- R6 FaZe Clan made it to the upper final, but then lost to Team Falcons and the future champions, M80.
The SAL Regional Finals isn’t just a thrilling Rainbow Six Siege esports event; it’s also a crucial preparation stage for the Six Invitational 2026. Brazil’s top teams will be competing at their best from February 2nd to 15th as they gear up to face international opponents.
