The lead actress of “Abbott Elementary”, Quinta Brunson, and her partner, Kevin Anik, have decided to end their relationship.

According to reports, Brunson has decided to part ways with her husband Anik following three years of marriage. This decision was made official on Wednesday when she submitted a divorce petition to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The couple, both aged 35 and 34 respectively, tied the knot in October 2021 but do not have any children together.

In her petition, Brunson mentioned “unresolvable disagreements” without specifying the exact date they stopped living together. The document stated that the separated partners had previously agreed on how to divide their possessions in a post-marriage contract, though it kept the details confidential.

Generally, Brunson and Anik’s relationship was kept private, only occasionally making public appearances on red carpets or during awards ceremonies.

In the year 2022 at the Primetime Emmy Awards, when Brunson garnered several accolades for her ABC sitcom “Abbott Elementary”, her husband was one of those she acknowledged. As she received the Emmy for writing in a comedy series, Brunson referred to her husband as “the most encouraging man I’ve ever encountered.

A lawyer acting on behalf of Brunson was unreachable when The Times sought a response for comment, while similarly, Anik could not be reached by The Times on Thursday for comment.
