Queensland’s Elite Wedding: Calile Hotel Transformed as The Veronicas Stun in Goth Glam!

On Sunday, restaurant owner Simon Gloftis and his partner Madeline Cara exchanged vows in a grand wedding ceremony held at the Calile Hotel in Brisbane.

Notable attendees included the stylish duo Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, also known as The Veronicas, who graced the event wearing their distinctive gothic outfits.

On her wedding day, the happily-flushed bride chose a gown featuring a structured corset bodice, accompanied by a modest heart-shaped neckline, and flowing, translucent skirts that billowed softly.

Matching sleeves barely clung to her shoulders as a long train trailed behind her. 

Madeline accentuated her inherent charm by opting for a subtle makeup style, featuring a neutral lip color and delicate eye shadow.

Simon, who moved his eatery Hellenika to the Calile Hotel, paired his affection with a crisp white tuxedo, teamed with black trousers and a sleek black bow tie.

Loved ones cheered the pair as they stepped out into the street following their joyous occasion.

At the joyful occasion, guests Jessica and Lisa chose to wear all-black outfits. Upon arrival, Jessica was accompanied by her fiancé, Alex Smith.

As the twin vocalists emerged dressed entirely in black for the joyful event, they donned semi-transparent lace and leather hand coverings.

Their floor length gowns brushed the concrete with Jessica opting for an Elizabethan silhouette. 

In 2024, Simon, who launched his hospitality dynasty on the Gold Coast with establishments like Three Beans cafe, The Fish House, and Hellenika restaurants, became engaged to Madeline.

In Sydney during Easter, he proposed to her, sharing with the newspaper later that he first met his beloved at one of his restaurants in Brisbane back in 2019.

He first encountered Madeline at work, and he humorously remarked, “I could tell right away that there might be some complications ahead.

‘I proposed in Sydney at the first hotel we ever stayed at together,’ he continued.

I arranged the identical charming suite at the InterContinental Hotel in Double Bay and popped the question from the balcony.

Simon admitted that he had been feeling anxious for quite some time over the prospect of posing the query, but his spirits soared when she responded affirmatively.

They jetted out to the Gold Coast not long after the engagement. 

I couldn’t contain my excitement when Simon posted the big news on his Instagram! He wrote, “Can you believe it? We’re tying the knot!” accompanied by an adorable snapshot of us locking lips. It’s like a dream come true for this die-hard fan!
