Quaking crowds, experience canyon: KC dominate XIP in GCC 2025

Wow, Karmine Corp absolutely crushed Xipto Esports! As a fan, it was amazing to watch. Both teams agreed the incredible energy from the crowd and their teammates really played a huge role in the win.

Okay, so I watched the Karmine Corp vs. Xipto match, and it was a really interesting one. Both teams were just starting out at the VALORANT Game Changers Championship 2025, but Xipto was totally new to playing on an international level. Karmine Corp, though, had been there before – they actually won the championship back in 2022, and they had a key player, Glance, from that winning team. Honestly, that experience really showed, and KC took the win. It was cool seeing Xipto compete, but Karmine Corp just had that extra edge.

Crowd support for KC, a piece of home for Xipto

The audience clearly supported KC, and Şura “Jiex” Yıldırım anticipated this. She said, “I’m confident our fans will support us no matter what.” Safia “safiaa” Leghzal, however, was surprised by the KC fans. “I didn’t realize they would be so loud,” she admitted.

Team Falcons players Alexandria “Alexy” Francisco and Odella “enerii” Abraham were there to support Xipto. capriciouS said their presence was a huge morale boost, explaining that Alexy and enerii offered advice and helped the team practice before the match.

This match at GCC 2025 marks the first time the Xipto team has competed on an international stage. According to capriciouS, playing in Pacific was different because there were no spectators. ‘Stepping onto the stage here and seeing so many people was a new experience for us,’ he explained. ‘It’s very different, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to be here.’

“[The KC crowd] was like an earthquake,” XIP coach Aron “2766” Orlanda recalled.

KC vs XIP – Experience and adjustments

Karmine Corp chose Abyss for the first map and got off to a strong start, but quickly lost control, allowing the EMEA team to take a significant lead. They continued to dominate in the second half, finishing with an 8-4 lead and winning the pistol round to go up 10-4. From there, they maintained their momentum and ultimately defeated their Pacific opponents 13-4. Azra “Alkyia” Erin had an outstanding performance on Jett, achieving a remarkable 400 ACS and a KDA of 26 kills, 9 deaths, and 3 assists.

I was really eager to get on stage and prove myself. I wanted to showcase my skills, and I couldn’t have done it without my team. They were amazing, supporting me and helping me succeed. It wasn’t a solo effort – we won as a team.

Alkyia on her strong performance against Xipto

Watching the match, it was clear Xipto’s team really wanted to start strong on Corrode, and they did, winning the first pistol round just like before. This time, they even managed to get the bonus, which felt like it could give them a bigger advantage than on the first map. But KC quickly shut that down with an incredibly economical win in round 4 – seriously, they made their money stretch! The first half ended up being way closer than the first map, going into the second half tied 6-6. It was a really competitive match!

KC grabbed a second pistol and prepared to repeat the strategy that worked well on the first map. They also won the bonus round, increasing their lead to 9-6. Xipto managed to win a round after that, but KC quickly extended their lead to 10-6. Xipto could only win one more round after that. KC’s first international performance was impressive, in contrast to Xipto’s disappointing debut.

KC’s victory this time was a true team effort, with all players performing similarly. Anastasia “anesilia” Ivanova particularly stood out, achieving a KAST stat of 95%, which means she consistently contributed to rounds by either getting a kill, assisting a teammate, surviving, or trading a kill.

Go next: Xipto gets a rematch with Ninetails

Xipto is facing another team from the Pacific region. Ninetails lost their previous match against Nova and was moved to the lower bracket. This next match will determine which of these two Pacific teams will be eliminated from the GCC 2025 tournament in Seoul.

Even though they won in Pacific Stage 2, Xipto expects a tough match against Ninetails. According to grahams, “We’ll face a lot more pressure playing against Ninetails, especially since it’s their home turf and they’ll have strong fan support.”
