Jessica Sutta, who used to be in the Pussycat Dolls, has publicly shared her feelings after not being included in the group’s recent reunion.
The popular girl group from the 2000s is reuniting for a tour with Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts. However, original members Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton were not invited to participate.
During a recent, uncomfortable interview on the Today show, Nicole Scherzinger had trouble explaining why some members weren’t present for a reunion.
Sutta has spoken out about the recent announcement, saying on The Maverick Approach podcast that she and the rest of the group were surprised by it. She said they hadn’t been given any warning.
She explained that no one had been contacted or informed about what was happening, and they were completely caught off guard.
Sutta also blasted Wyatt and Roberts for not reaching out to her after the death of her mother.
‘I thought we were all friends, but that’s how it goes in Hollywood,’ she said.
Sutta verified that Nicole Scherzinger contacted her the same day the Pussycat Dolls’ reunion was announced, but she hasn’t returned the call yet.
On the podcast, Sutta said that Nicole had called, but she hadn’t picked up and didn’t intend to return the call.
I have a lot of love for Nicole. It’s a really emotional moment for me, because I admire her talent so much. I was actually in tears when she recently won her Tony Award, and I was so happy for her.
I was really hoping she’d succeed, but the way things played out confirmed why I don’t belong with that group and revealed their true colors.
Sutta moved to Nashville a few years ago after experiencing a health issue following a COVID-19 vaccination, effectively ending her career in Hollywood.
She had previously stated she wouldn’t be rejoining the Pussycat Dolls because of health concerns, and she expressed her good wishes for the group and hopes their upcoming world tour is a success.
Sutta, a vocal supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after experiencing an adverse reaction to a vaccine, suspects she wasn’t invited to the reunion because of her political beliefs, even though people wished her well.
‘It’s a cash grab, let’s keep it real,’ she said of the group’s reunion tour.
‘And I was a liability. I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA,’ she continued.
I strongly disagree with Trump’s policies, and I’m against war in general. However, without his involvement, it would have been impossible to secure assistance for those harmed by the vaccine.
She added, ‘I was never political but I had to be because my life depends on it.’
Recently, Sutta has been advocating for people who experienced adverse effects from vaccines. She also publicly supported RFK Jr.’s campaign for president and previously met with him in January when he was considering a role as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Original band member Bachar has also shared publicly that she wasn’t invited to join the group’s reunion.
Bachar, 51, stated in a statement last week that he wasn’t informed about the group’s decision and found out about their plans when they were made public.
Considering my long involvement with the brand – I helped build it from the very beginning, even before it became well-known, and I played a key role in securing the record deal – I would have preferred to be contacted directly.
Daily Mail has contacted Scherzinger for comment.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Scherzinger, Wyatt, and Roberts were reuniting as a trio for a huge global tour.
During Friday’s Today show, co-host Craig Melvin surprised Nicole Scherzinger with a question about the recent issues with the show’s lineup, leaving her speechless.
Recently, some past members of the Pussycat Dolls publicly expressed their surprise and disappointment about the group reforming with only three members instead of the original lineup. The presenter asked how that decision came about.
Scherzinger seemed surprised by the question and paused, clearly searching for the right words to say.
She hesitated, searching for the right words. “It’s just… as women today, we often…”
Wyatt then swooped in and said that the Pussycat Dolls’ line-up has been ‘ever-changing.’
‘This is what it looks like in 2026,’ Wyatt said confidently.
‘You never know what comes next. We’ve got to protect our peace,’ she continued.
Given the Pussycat Dolls’ long history, we’ve had disagreements in the past, but we’re currently working through those issues and are now aligned.
By the time Wyatt, 44, had given her answer, Scherzinger had formulated what she wanted to say.
She expressed deep appreciation for all the women who have contributed to the brand’s history, adding with affection, ‘Once a doll, always a doll.’
