Pussycat Dolls star Jessica Sutta claims group axed her from ‘cash grab’ reunion tour over her political beliefs

Jessica Sutta, who used to be in the Pussycat Dolls, has publicly shared her feelings after not being included in the group’s recent reunion.

The popular girl group from the 2000s is getting back together for a tour, with Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts confirmed to participate. However, Sutta, along with original members Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton, were not invited to join the reunion.

During a somewhat uncomfortable interview on the Today show last week, Nicole Scherzinger had trouble explaining why some members weren’t present for the reunion.

Sutta has spoken out about the reunion, saying on The Maverick Approach podcast that she and the other members were surprised by the announcement and had no prior knowledge of it.

She explained that nobody received a call or any advance notice. They were completely surprised by what happened.

Sutta also blasted Wyatt and Roberts for not reaching out to her after the death of her mother.

‘I thought we were all friends, but that’s how it goes in Hollywood,’ she said.

Sutta verified that Scherzinger contacted her the same day the Pussycat Dolls’ reunion was announced, but she hasn’t returned the call yet.

On the podcast, Sutta said that Nicole had called, but she hadn’t picked up and didn’t intend to return the call.

I have a lot of affection for Nicole. This situation is both happy and sad for me. I deeply admire her talent, and I was actually in tears when she recently won her Tony Award, she shared.

I was really hoping she’d succeed, but the way things played out confirmed why I don’t belong with that group and revealed their true colors.

Sutta moved to Nashville a few years ago after experiencing a health issue following a Covid vaccine. She had previously worked in Hollywood.

She had previously stated she wouldn’t be rejoining the Pussycat Dolls because of health concerns, and she wishes the group well, hoping their world tour is a success.

Sutta, a vocal supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after experiencing an adverse reaction to a vaccine, suspects she wasn’t invited to the reunion because of her political beliefs, despite receiving well wishes from others.

‘It’s a cash grab, let’s keep it real,’ she said of the group’s reunion tour.

‘And I was a liability. I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA,’ she continued.

I strongly disagree with Trump’s policies and I’m against war in general. However, without his involvement, it would have been impossible to secure assistance for people who were harmed by the vaccine.

She added, ‘I was never political but I had to be because my life depends on it.’

In recent years, Sutta has become an advocate for people who have experienced adverse effects from vaccines. She also supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign for president and previously met with him in January when he was considering a role as the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Original band member Bachar has also said publicly that she wasn’t invited to join the group’s reunion.

Bachar, 51, stated in a statement last week that he wasn’t informed about the group’s decision to proceed with their plans and found out about them when they were made public.

Considering my long involvement with the brand – I helped build it from the very beginning, even before it became well-known, and I played a key role in securing the record deal – I would have preferred to be contacted directly.

Daily Mail has contacted Scherzinger for comment.

Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt are getting back together as a group and will be embarking on a major world tour. The announcement was made earlier this month.

During Friday’s Today show, Craig Melvin surprised Nicole Scherzinger with a question about the recent issues with the show’s lineup, leaving her speechless.

A reporter asked the group why they decided to return with only three members, since some former Pussycat Dolls had publicly reacted to the news, expecting a full reunion of the original lineup.

Oh my gosh, you should have seen her face! When someone asked that question, Nicole just completely froze up. Like, she was totally caught off guard and just couldn’t find the words for a second. It was… mesmerizing, honestly. She was scrambling to collect her thoughts, and I was just hanging on every little expression. It was a total moment!

She hesitated, searching for the right words. “It’s just… as women today, we often…” she began, stumbling over her thoughts.

Wyatt then swooped in and said that the Pussycat Dolls’ line-up has been ‘ever-changing.’

‘This is what it looks like in 2026,’ Wyatt said confidently.

‘You never know what comes next. We’ve got to protect our peace,’ she continued.

The Pussycat Dolls have a long and sometimes complicated history. We’ve had disagreements in the past, but we’re currently working to resolve those issues and get back on track as a group.

By the time Wyatt, 44, had given her answer, Scherzinger had formulated what she wanted to say.

She expressed deep appreciation for all the women who have contributed to the brand’s history, adding with affection, ‘Once a Barbie girl, always a Barbie girl.’
