The ongoing video sequence offers fans a sneak peek into the future exploits of Jon Bernthal’s beloved Marvel character, following his daring escape from Mayor Wilson Fisk’s custody during the initial season of Daredevil: Born Again. This footage portrays the tumultuous streets of New York City, with Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher appearing unfazed by the turmoil, even as a police car burns and civilians engage in altercations.
Following the conclusion of “Daredevil: Born Again,” a special edition titled “The Punisher” will be presented, with Reinaldo Marcus Green directing and co-writing the script alongside Jon Bernthal. This special feature will star Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, along with Roe Rancell, while Ma Gnucci, a notorious supervillain, is anticipated to make her live-action debut in this presentation, as suggested by the initial set footage.
In Bernthal’s words, the upcoming special is expected to be quite intense. Frank won’t try to lighten up the gloominess, instead, it will not be a watered-down version of The Punisher. He further emphasized that if they decide to move forward, they will maintain a deep respect and commitment to the original source material, ensuring authenticity.
