Recently, PUBG Mobile launched its latest update – version 3.9. In this new edition, Tencent Games has incorporated several engaging additions. One such novelty is the partnership with the renowned fictional series, Transformers. As a result of this collaboration, a fresh theme, the Transformers-inspired Classic Mode, has been introduced. This innovative mode showcases an array of items and characters linked to Transformers.
Beyond the conventional gameplay style, you can expect numerous adjustments within the game itself, fresh weapon options, improvements to classic mode, and various other exciting elements. In this write-up, we’ll delve into these new features and outline their functionalities so that you can effortlessly conquer the digital realm of PUBG Mobile.
The Transformers themed mode is here to rule the battlegrounds
The radiance of the Allspark illuminates the universe, uniting the powers of righteousness and wickedness. This one beam encapsulates the primary concept behind the Transformers-themed setting in PUBG Mobile’s 3.9 update version. The Autobots and Decepticons are ready to conquer the diverse landscapes of Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik.
In this setting, you have the opportunity to assume the roles of either Optimus Prime or Megatron, complete with their unique abilities and maneuvers. Additionally, you can convert them into vehicles and travel using them. Let’s delve deeper into the intricacies of this exciting new mode.
Use the Spacebridge Beacon summon the heroes
In the current game setup, this fresh addition is among the crucial in-game artifacts. Known as the Beacon, it appears spontaneously on the map and can be discovered almost anywhere within the playing field. As time progresses during the match, the sky’s hue will alter, and you’ll receive a notification indicating a connection has been made with Cybertron. Following this, you’ll have the ability to activate the Spacebridge Beacon to initiate the Cybertron Spacebridge. This portal randomly summons Optimus Prime, Megatron, or Energon Supply Crates, and it also provides Cybertronian Supply Crates as rewards.
Fight alongside Optimus Prime or Megatron in the PUBG Mobile Transformers mode
In this new version, Optimus Prime and Megatron, their longstanding adversaries, will make their appearance in Erangel. They possess the unique capability to transform between vehicle and robot forms. As vehicles, they become robust options, much like what’s portrayed in the films, capable of seating up to four players comfortably. Unlike regular vehicles, these are exceptionally durable, offering substantial protection and being repairable multiple times. However, don’t forget to monitor their health bars carefully.
Let’s discuss the unique abilities they have when they’re in their vehicle and robot forms. Transforming into a high-tech tank, Megatron unleashes a powerful fusion blast. On the other hand, Optimus Prime, when transformed into a robot, swings his Energon Axe, delivering multiple strong attacks before charging forward. This can inflict heavy damage on enemies within reach. In its robot form, Megatron fires a rapid succession of five fusion shots from its cannon for long-range assaults.
In the heat of battle, you can enhance not only Optimus Prime but also Megatron using Energon Cubes scattered across the field. This upgrade will give each of them a unique special ability. For Optimus Prime, his enhanced skill is an instant high-speed charge, closing gaps swiftly to deliver a massive impact on his target. You can utilize this move to momentarily halt Megatron, opening up opportunities for additional melee assaults. In the event that Optimus Prime and Megatron engage in combat, a special zone called “Arch-rival Standoff” will materialize around them. The one who emerges victorious from this zone will be the last standing.
Megatron’s enhanced ability obliterates objectives by unleashing a powerful fusion blast after charging it up. What makes this skill particularly effective is that the longer it charges, the more damage it inflicts. Additionally, repeated usage causes Megatron to retreat to a secure position, making it harder for enemies to reach you. Meanwhile, striking Optimus Prime will temporarily slow him down, so be sure to strategize your attacks thoughtfully. Also, remember that the fusion blast’s detonation creates a zone of spherical detection, scanning the number of players and vehicles within the blast area, offering valuable intelligence.
Transformer Token allows you to start the Transformers Trial
The long-awaited Trial Match system is making its comeback in PUBG Mobile! During a regular classic match, the Transformer Token will initiate a Trial Match. Complete the missions for a legendary trial, and you’ll successfully meet the challenge. This will lead to an impressive results screen presentation, and your team and you will be rewarded with various in-game prizes.
Visit the Cosmic Meteorite Checkpoint to interact with the robots
One captivating spot in this latest game mode is the Cosmic Meteorite Checkpoint. Here, you’ll have the chance to be transported to the summit of a meteorite, teetering on the brink of the universe. This is where you can snap pictures with Optimus Prime and Megatron. This new addition certainly sounds thrilling! Upon arrival, you’ll be rewarded with a useful supply pack.
Main event location: Neon Outpost welcomes you
In this updated PUBG Mobile Transformers Mode, the primary battlefield or focal point is known as the Neon Outpost. It’s a lively cyberpunk-inspired location bathed in brilliant neon lights and pulsating with futuristic energy. This themed region can be found on Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik maps and boasts three significant areas: a boxing ring that becomes accessible following a countdown for intense combat; a black market offering futuristic stores, including a burger joint serving the enigmatic Interstellar Burger, eating which grants you energy; and an energy hub where players can hop on robots to traverse the battlefields.
The heart of Neon Outpost is the Astro Den, a combat zone for hand-to-hand fights. You can access it through unique gates in the Galactic Outpost. In this area, only special weapons and melee weapons are allowed for close-quarter skirmishes. A remarkable feature is that you respawn immediately above the outpost without using up a respawn chance when you’re eliminated. It’s essential to remember that the team still standing at the end of the time limit will be richly rewarded.
Use the Cosmic Hoverboard to traverse quickly
In the PUBG Mobile Transformers game, the exclusive transportation for the mode is referred to as the “Cosmic Hoverboard.” This vehicle allows you to zip around the map at high speed. You can discover this unique ride either at the Neon Outpost or in areas rich with loot.
Classic Mode Enhancements in PUBG Mobile
The 3.9 version update has introduced several new Classic Mode enhancements. Those are:
New weapon: ASM Abakan
In the latest update, we’ve introduced a fresh Assault Rifle (AR) – the ASM Abakan. This rifle operates with 5.56mm ammunition and offers three shooting modes: Full-auto, Burst, and single-shot. One of its notable features is that its first two shots are exceptionally accurate and fired rapidly in quick succession. Consequently, it can be utilized effectively as a powerful burst weapon.
You can find DSR in the air-drops
In this latest update, I’m thrilled to find that the odds of acquiring the DSR Sniper Rifle (SR) have significantly risen! Now, I even have the exciting possibility of snagging it from those aerial drops – talk about adding some excitement to my gameplay!
Two-wheeler drifting
In this latest update, I’ve discovered the thrill of drifting not just my motorcycles, but even my trusty bicycle! And
Ranked Arena mode is coming back
At last, after a significant gap, I’m thrilled to announce that the Ranked Arena mode is making its comeback! Starting from the 24th of July and running until the 21st September, you can find it in the lobby under the ‘Ranked Arena mode’. This exclusive mode offers its own progression tiers, a variety of game modes to choose from, and limited seasonal rewards. Can’t wait to see you there, fellow gamers!
In this update, we’ll introduce some fresh weapon options for Gun-Game battles. Additionally, a new feature that allows players to switch between First-Person Perspective (FPP) and Third-Person Perspective (TPP) will be available in regular Arena mode matches. Furthermore, in Team Deathmatch (TDM), Domination, and Arena Training Modes, players won’t lose their weapons or ammo when they get knocked down anymore.
Final Thoughts
In a continuation of its impressive track record, PUBG Mobile continues to astound us with fresh updates and partnerships. And now, it’s no exception as the anticipated collaboration with Transformers promises to enrich the game significantly. This exciting alliance is certain to draw in a brand new audience who are eager to immerse themselves in the electrifying encounter between the Autobots and Decepticons within the PUBG Mobile Transformers Mode.
With the introduction of new firearms such as ASM Abakan, and the return of Ranked Arena, I have high hopes that this 3.9 update will be extremely popular. In conclusion, whether you’re a seasoned player or a novice, this mode is not to be missed.
