PUBG Mobile x Transformers collab brings new themed events and game modes, starting July 8

In the usual pattern for updates, PUBG Mobile or BGMI often partners with well-known intellectual properties. This time around, they are planning to team up with the iconic Transformers movie series. The Transformers is a collection of science fiction action films that originated from the renowned Transformers franchise.

In the 3.9 update of PUBG Mobile, you’ll find characters from the Transformers movie series roaming across the map of Erangel. You can expect to encounter both heroes like Optimus Prime and villains such as Megatron in this exciting crossover event, promising top-notch action straight from Cybertron!

PUBG Mobile x Transformers Collaboration: New theme mode and events

On July 8th, 2025, the game will receive an update for version 3.9, introducing a new themed mode called “Neon Town.” This futuristic dystopian setting is inspired by the fictional planet Cybertron, home of the Transformers, and you’ll find plenty of items themed around these iconic characters throughout the main location.

To call upon the powerful Transformers robots, you’ll need to locate the Spacebridge Signal. Once a game is initiated, you must wait for a while before activating the device. After a specified duration, you will receive a message saying “Connection with Cybertron established“. Following this, you may utilize the beacon to randomly summon Autobots or Decepticons.

These robots will function identically to how they appeared in the movie. One of them, resembling Optimus Prime, morphs into a truck with blue and red hues, which you can operate. The other, akin to Megatron, converts into a contemporary tank. You’ll be able to leverage their unique abilities, such as Axe Slash and Burst Barrage.

Fight either as Autobots or Decepticons on the battlegrounds

Currently, it is evident that certain characters from Transformers are set to appear in PUBG Mobile as part of their collaboration. This crossover event does not solely feature the classic G1-style characters, but also includes more recent cinematic versions such as those seen in “Rise of the Beasts.” In this section, we will compile a list of these characters.

  • Optimus Prime – The iconic leader of the Autobots.
  • Megatron – The leader of the Decepticons.
  • Bumblebee – Another popular character of the series.
  • Starscream – A part of the Deception crew.
  • Soundwave – Another famous character.
  • Arcee – A red and White colored female Autobot.
  • Optimus Primal – Leader of the Beast faction.

Beyond these beloved characters, I’m thrilled to share that we’ll encounter a plethora of Transformers-themed items! Expect unique outfits, weapon finishes, vehicle skins, crates, exclusive lucky spins, and special prize paths, similar to what we experienced in the Attack on Titan (AoT) and Godzilla collaborations. I can’t wait to see how these elements enrich my Transformers adventure!

Final Thoughts

It’s quite exciting for me to observe how popular and conventional entertainment genres like Anime and films are partnering with mobile games, such as PUBG Mobile. Since PUBG Mobile is a well-known brand, this collaboration could bring significant advantages. Many dedicated Transformers fans will likely engage with the game to control their beloved Autobots or Decepticons. This partnership seems mutually beneficial in the end for both parties involved.

Previously, players had shown disapproval towards a large entity wandering the map and dominating them in the 3.8 version update. They voiced their discontent online about the Titans’ abilities, leading to developers making adjustments (nerfs). Whether we’ll witness a similar situation again remains to be seen.
