In each new update, it’s become customary for games like PUBG Mobile or BGMI to team up with well-known intellectual properties. This time around, PUBG Mobile will be partnering with the iconic movie series The Transformers. The Transformers is a science fiction action film franchise derived from the renowned Transformers toy line.

In the 3.9 update of PUBG Mobile, I can hardly contain my excitement as iconic characters from the Transformers movie series step onto the battlefield of Erangel! From the heroic Optimus Prime to the devious Megatron, I’m ready to experience top-notch Cybertronian action right here in PUBG Mobile.

PUBG Mobile x Transformers Collaboration: New theme mode and events

In a little over nine years, on July 8th, 2025, the game will introduce its new themed mode as part of version 3.9 update. This mode will transport us to a futuristic dystopian landscape known as Neon Town, inspired by the fictional planet Cybertron, home of the Transformers. Expect an abundance of items themed after these iconic robots in disguise within this setting.

To call upon the powerful Transformers robots, you’ll first need to locate the Spacebridge Signal. Once you begin a game, you’ll need to be patient as you wait for the opportunity to utilize the device. After a while, you will receive a message saying “Connection to Cybertron has been established“. With this signal activated, you can then summon a variety of random Transformers robots.

The robots function just like their on-screen counterparts. One of them, resembling Optimus Prime, morphs into a blue and red truck that’s drivable. Another character, similar to Megatron, converts into a contemporary tank. You can utilize their unique skills, such as the Axe Slash and Burst Barrage.

All the popular Autobots are coming to the battlegrounds

At present, it’s quite evident which characters from Transformers will be joining PUBG Mobile through their collaboration. This crossover isn’t limited to just the classic G1 versions; it also incorporates more recent cinematic interpretations like “Rise of the Beasts”. Here, we’ll be listing them all out.

  • Optimus Prime – The iconic leader of the Autobots.
  • Megatron – The leader of the Decepticons.
  • Bumblebee – Another popular character of the series.
  • Starscream – A part of the Deception crew.
  • Soundwave – Another famous character.
  • Arcee – A red and White colored female Autobot.
  • Optimus Primal – Leader of the Beast faction.

In addition to these characters, you’ll encounter a variety of Transformers-themed elements, including outfits, weapon finishes, vehicle skins, crates, special lucky spins, and exclusive prize paths. Similar prize paths have been featured in our previous collaborations with Attack on Titan (AoT) and Godzilla.

Final Thoughts

It’s incredibly exciting for me to witness popular and widely-known entertainment genres like Anime and movies teaming up with mobile platforms, such as PUBG Mobile. Given its reputation as a major player, PUBG Mobile stands to gain significantly as enthusiastic Transformers fans are likely to engage with the game in order to control their preferred Autobots or Decepticons. Ultimately, this collaboration proves beneficial for both parties.

Previously, numerous players found issue with a large entity traversing the map and dominating them within the 3.8 version update. They voiced their discontent online concerning the Titans’ abilities, leading to the developers making adjustments, or nerfs. Whether we’ll encounter similar circumstances again remains to be seen.
