PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2025 is announced, to take place in Uzbekistan

At the recently concluded gamescom latam event held at São Paulo Expo, it was announced that PUBG Mobile will host its Global Open (PMGO) 2025 in the country of Uzbekistan. The occasion unveiled a variety of upcoming features, weapons, and esports events to look forward to.

From June 26th through June 30th, the biggest games festival in Latin America, known as Gamescom Latam, unfolded. During this event, which was attended by James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports Center at Level Infinite, several significant announcements were made.

PMGO 2025: Schedule and Format

For amateur teams, this event showcases local squads and underdogs from every region. The qualifying process begins on the 13th of February, so get ready for a lengthy competition!

The selection process for participants will occur thrice, once for international seeds and another distinct time for the host nation. The primary event is set for April 2025, but here’s the timetable for the qualifying rounds:

The Preliminaries consist of sixteen teams, with four teams hailing from both Uzbekistan and Asia, while there will be three teams each from Europe and the Middle East. One team will represent North America, and another one will come from South America.

After playing 12 games, the top seven teams will progress to the Main Tournament and unite with the eight invited ones. The victorious team from the Uzbekistan Finals will be our last competitor. In this Main Event, a total of 16 squads will battle it out for the inaugural international trophy of 2025.

Prize Pool

The total prize money for the event amounts to $500,000. This sum will be distributed among the teams as they conclude their participation in the event. However, each team’s share will vary depending on their final ranking following PMGO 2025. At this point, the specific allocation details have not been revealed yet, but we’ll announce them soon and provide an update with the full breakdown here.

Regnum Carya Esports is the champion of PMGO 2025

2025’s first global tournament for PUBG Mobile saw a new victor emerge: Regnum Carya Esports. They accumulated a total of 106 points to claim the top spot. Meanwhile, Nigma Galaxy ended up in second place. The winning team pocketed a substantial cash prize.

4Merical Vibes may have come in 13th place overall, but their performer, DOK, was undeniably the standout of the event. The champion’s team displayed an unrivaled performance that left no room for competition at the top. However, it was a close call for third and fourth place as both teams ended up with 85 points each. What set THE721 AGGRESSOR apart was their additional victory that surpassed GOAT Quality’s standard, often referred to as extraordinary or legendary.

PUBG Mobile promises to bring a redefined experience in PMGO 2025 to Uzbekistan

In early 2024, PUBG Mobile unveiled an exciting plan for esports events, aiming to generate buzz within the gaming community. Furthermore, the growing popularity of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games on mobile platforms prompted PUBG Mobile to reconsider its approach.
