As the year draws to a close, so too are the esports events for PUBG Mobile coming to an end. The much-anticipated year-end event, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025, is gearing up to take center stage shortly. While the PMWC 2025 wrapped up only a few weeks ago, preparations for the biggest tournament of the year are already in full swing.
This article provides information on what we know about PMGC 2025 so far. Year after year, PUBG Mobile continues to rank among the top mobile games, and it looks like the forthcoming event is destined for success as well.
PMGC 2025: Schedule and Format
PUBG Mobile has unveiled its roadmap for the second half of 2025, featuring some adjustments to the previously announced PMGC 2025 tournament. One notable alteration is the addition of a new phase dubbed the Gauntlet stage, set to begin in November, although the specific dates are yet to be disclosed.
The Gauntlet
From every Regional Championship, sixteen well-qualified teams will compete across three days. Each day showcases six exciting matches, resulting in a grand total of 18 games. The top six teams will progress to the Grand Finals. Notably, the remaining teams won’t be eliminated but instead proceed straight to the group stage.
Group Stage
In this rephrased version, I’ve attempted to make the text more conversational and easy to understand:
Thirty-two teams are going to be split into two groups, each containing sixteen teams. Apart from ten teams that qualified directly from the preliminary round, the remaining teams are chosen based on their PMGC Points from different regions. Each group will participate in a total of eighteen matches, and the top four teams from both groups will progress to the Grand Finals. Teams ranked fifth through twelfth from each group will move on to the Last Chance event. The bottom four teams will unfortunately be eliminated from further competition.

Last Chance
These stages don’t have set dates yet, but here’s what you can expect from the final stage: It will involve 16 teams, spanning across two matchdays. The competition will consist of 12 matches in total. The top team will advance to the next round, while the remaining teams will be knocked out.
Grand Finals
Only 16 teams are left competing for three straight days, not just 24 hours. They’ll play six games per day, adding up to a total of 18 matches. The team with the most points at the end will win the championship trophy.
Participating Teams
To date, it’s been established that a grand total of 39 teams will participate in the tournament, progressing through each round. In addition to regional PMGC points, there are teams invited by the host country, as well as champions from the Pro Series Korea and Japan League. Furthermore, there will be two exclusive invitations extended for this event.
Prize Pool
The total award money for the competition hasn’t been disclosed just yet. Be sure to check back here frequently, as we’ll be providing updates regularly based on the most recent developments directly from the game. Here’s to a thrilling event!
