PUBG Mobile Esports Circuit 2025: A total of $10M investment to create a pathway for amateurs

PUBG Mobile has chosen to strengthen its support for grassroots esports, acknowledging that it possesses a large esports community. Previously, grassroots events received little attention, leading to a decrease in viewership. In contrast, Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games like Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang were gaining popularity rapidly.

James Yang, who holds the position of Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite, announced that a total of $10 million is being invested in the grassroots level of PUBG Mobile Esports. This money will be utilized for various prize pools within PUBG Mobile Esports tournaments, incentives for third-party events, events targeted towards female players, and additional initiatives.

The recent success of the Ultimate Royale ranked mode brought massive success and amateur players into the competitive limelight. So, the game decided to work on this more. So, the upcoming year will see more than 20 regional tournaments across Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Americas. Players will be competing for a spot in the PMSL and PMGO.

PMGO returns with PMGC 2025 taking place in Thailand

The highly anticipated opening of PMGO had a fantastic start this year. In the same vein, the 2025 PMGO is set to take place in Uzbekistan. Given that this edition will center around individual players, the top 500 ranked in Ultimate Royale can skip the first round of qualifiers for the 2025 PMGO, thereby giving local stars a chance to compete with the pros.

PUBG Mobile is constantly looking to improve the overall Gameplay experience

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at how PUBG Mobile consistently pushes the boundaries by experimenting with various game modes through events and unique features. In 2025, the game is set to focus its efforts on creating innovative esports modes, including the captivating World of Wonder, the thrilling Metro Royale, the intense Team Deathmatch, as well as special events tailored for women, among other exciting additions.

Under the broader global strategy, our esports partnership program is also being refined. Specifically, the Esports Creation Program will see additional funding for initiatives like PDP Design, commentator programs, and narrative-driven projects. This is all aimed at delivering a captivating and exhilarating experience to the players.
