PUBG MOBILE 3.7 updates: New map, time reversal feature, Alan Walker, and more

In the new version 3.7 of PUBG Mobile, a desert-themed map is added, along with an impressive artifact named Reversal Blade. This item allows players to rewind time.

PUBG MOBILE has released version 3.7, titled “Golden Dynasty,” to celebrate its seventh anniversary. This update is playable until May 6, 2025. The new features have a desert theme, featuring a desert battlefield, two floating islands, and a camel ride as a mount option.

In the latest update for PUBG Mobile, version 3.7, there’s a fresh theme introduced called Golden Dynasty which is now accessible across Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps in both casual and competitive modes. Additionally, a new 8×8 map titled Rondo, originally from PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, has been optimized for mobile playability. Here’s what else you can expect in the update.

New Themed Mode – Golden Dynasty

From March 6th to May 6th, 2025, you’ll find the freshly introduced theme-based gameplay accessible. This mode is playable in both Ranked and Casual matches, across the maps of Erangel, Livik, and Rondo.

The map features brand new areas:

Gilded Palace

  • Islands Above & Below: Players can choose where to land on between two floating islands hover above and below.
  • Strongest Team: Open a hourglass in the main hall of the palace to get a valuable, one-of-a-kind crate.
  • Temporal Rewind: Harness temporal powers within a specific area to witness the changes brought by the reversal of time, and seize the opportunity to uncover new treasures.
  • Armor Repair: The inside of the palace has armor repair devices. Use them to instantly restore armor and helmet durability. If none are equipped, a set of Lv. 2 armor and helmet will be issued.

Eminence Courtyard

  • Secret Room: There is a room on the lower level that houses a treasure vault behind a locked door. To unlock it, players must interact with murals on the upper level and find the key hidden behind the correct one.
  • Fountain Pavilion: Jump directly down through a hole in the center to enter the underground Hourglass Realm.
  • Mysterious Lore: The walls within the Hourglass Realm are adorned with murals. Interact with them to dust them off and uncover the story through the princess’s memories.

Reminisce Zones

  • Certain areas of the map have been reverted to a past state due to the effects of Temporal Sands. Affected Areas: Erangel (Quarry, Mylta Power and its surroundings, and the two bridges that lead to the Sosnovka Military Base) and Livik (Midstein),
  • Terrain, buildings, vegetation, and drops will all be restored. Special weather will be implemented in these areas to fully recreate the original experience.
  • Players can take photos at special photo spots and interact with the picnic blanket for a recovery effect.
  • Interact with the Reversal Fragments found in Reminisce Zones for loads of supplies. However, you may trigger a desert trap and be launched into the sky.
  • A certain period of time after the match starts, special Reversal Fragments will appear in the Reminisce Zones. Interact with them to get the Golden Scepter and Advanced Reversal Blade.

New Item – Reversal Blade

In the Golden Dynasty-themed mode, you’ll find a unique weapon called The Reversing Edge. This weapon boasts several capabilities:

For the Golden Dynasty mode, there’s an exceptional weapon called The Backtrack Blade. It features various talents:

Each of these versions maintains the original meaning while making it more natural and easier to read.

  • Rewind Time: Use the skill to place a mark on the ground. Use the skill again within a certain duration to transform into a temporal orb and trace back all the steps you’ve taken until you return to the previously placed mark. After transforming back, your Health and Energy will be restored to their states at the time the mark was placed.
  • Reopening Crates: Use the Reversal Blade’s rewind ability to reopen previously opened crates for new supplies.
  • Vehicle Restoration: Focus on a vehicle and use the rewind ability to restore its Health and fuel and repair its damaged tires.
  • Advanced Reversal Blade: This blade has a special rewind ability that can be used one time and is triggered automatically if you get knocked down during the skill’s duration. Time will rewind and you will be brought back to the marked location.

Check instruction below on how to get a Reversal Blade:

  1. Regular Reversal Blades can be found on the map along with upgrade materials.
  2. Collect the required upgrade materials and use a Forging Station to upgrade the Reversal Blade into an Advanced Reversal Blade.
  3. Reversal Blades of different levels vary in skill potency, duration, movement speed, and cooldown times.
  4. While forging, the remaining time will be visible, so be sure to stay alert for approaching enemies.

New Item – Golden Scepter

Employ the Golden Scepter to create an area that restores everyone’s health. If any player falls in this zone, they will be granted one opportunity for self-resuscitation.

New Mount – Camel

In the Golden Dynasty setting, you’ll find that a camel is your two-person ride. Transform it into the agile Golden Mirage form, which enhances movement speed and lessens incoming damage temporarily. Moreover, this camel has the ability to detect the whereabouts of nearby resources.

New Map – Rondo

In the game, Rondo is the expansive map that harmoniously combines classic and contemporary elements. Spanning an area of 8×8 kilometers, much like Erangle and Miramar, it can accommodate up to a hundred players. This vast terrain boasts over ten fresh areas, featuring modern attractions such as escalators, concert halls, floating restaurants, car factories, and many more exciting spots.

Rondo’s best features include:

  • Two Flight Routes: Teams will be randomly assigned to one of two flight routes at the start of the match.
  • Terrain Destruction: When there isn’t enough cover around you, you can conceal yourself by destroying the terrain. Terrain can be destroyed with pickaxes, grenades, fuel explosions, or vehicle explosions.
  • EMP Zone: any electronic features are deactivated when in the EMP Zone, which include electronic reticles on scopes and sights, vehicles with engines, markets, recall towers, and signal jammer backpacks.

New Item – Emergency Cover Flare

You can obtain or buy an Emergency Cover Flare from stores. Once deployed, it will produce red smoke which signals for two emergency cover structures to appear nearby. Note that this flare might not work properly when used within confined areas.

New Item – Forest Ghillie Suit

In Rondo, there’s a possibility that you might find a Camouflage Forest Suit inside the supply crates. By wearing it, you can easily blend with the natural surroundings of Rondo.

New Item – Battle Ready Kit

In the game Rondo, you’ll find a fresh, scarcely encountered item known as the Quick Revival Pack. This item, when utilized, instantly restores your full health and energy within just 8 seconds.

New Item – Signal Jammer Backpack

This “Signal Jammer Backpack” is a versatile pack, offering the storage space equivalent to a Level 2 backpack. Additionally, it boasts resilience against 100 points of Blue Zone damage. Once its durability wears out, though, it can no longer withstand Blue Zone damage.

New Mount – Pico Bus

In the vibrant district of Rondo, you’ll find the Pico Bus, a compact ride designed to seat six passengers comfortably. This electric-powered bus offers an exhilarating pickup, but it should be noted that its powerful speed surge can drain the battery rather swiftly.

The Pico Bus accumulates and saves energy during braking or slowing down, storing it in its battery for later use. This additional energy enhances the vehicle’s overall driving range.

New Mount – Blanc

Blanc is a 4-seater SUV vehicle available exclusively in Rondo.

New Weapon – JS9

The JS9 boasts consistent recoil control, dishes out robust damage, and is famously well-balanced between speed and strength. Standing out as a unique offering in submachine gun category, the JS9 is user-friendly even for those not overly familiar with it, making it an easily approachable weapon.

  • Weapon Type: Submachine gun (SMG)
  • Ammo: 9mm ammo
  • Damage: 32
  • Effective Range: 200 meters
  • Bullet Speed: 400 meters/second
  • Rate of Fire: 900 rounds/minute
  • Firing Modes: Single-shot, full-auto

This gun supports a maximum magnification scope of 6 times, however, it doesn’t allow attachments like a foregrip or stock.

New Weapon – Stun Gun

Stun Gun is a Rondo-exclusive weapon. The stun gun temporarily blinds and immobilizes its targets.

  • Weapon Type: Secondary Weapon
  • Firing Mode: Single-shot
  • This weapon only has 3 uses.

You can check whether a teammate is stunned via the character status bar.

New Weapon – Pickaxe

Pickaxe is a Rondo-exclusive melee weapon, capable of destroying terrain.

New Music Track – Alan Walker

Moreover, in PUBG MOBILE’s update 3.7, you’ll find winter themes extended beyond just the Battle Royale gameplay. These thematic elements can be enjoyed in modes like Metro Royale, World of Wonder, and Home mode as well.

The update introduces the fresh Ranked Season, specifically Cycle 8 Season 23. This season will present novel rewards including the C8S23 Glasses, C8S23 Set, C8S23 Mask, C8S23 Cover, C8S23 – Mini14, and C8S23 Parachute. Each reward can be obtained for free based on your rank, so strive to advance as far as possible!
