Professor Green mysteriously pulls out of headline gig with just an HOUR’s notice – leaving fans devastated
On Saturday evening, Professor Green unexpectedly backed out from his main-stage show at a festival in Cheshire, which left the audience taken aback and disheartened.
Initially scheduled to perform at the Chester 7s Party at the Park in Northwich, rapper Stephen Manderson unexpectedly cancelled his appearance, deciding not to take the stage one hour prior to his performance time.
According to reports, it was communicated to the organizers that the celebrity known as “Read All About It” would not show up because of an illness, while they were still waiting for his arrival at the event location.
At the eleventh hour, Chester 7s shared the unfortunate news: Professor Green regrettably can’t appear for tonight’s event due to unexpected situations.
Although events like these are beyond our reach to manage, we extend our sincere apologies to our exceptional players, officials, and attendees. We’re grateful for your part in making the Chester 7s 2025 a truly memorable event for all involved.
Unexpectedly cancelling the event left festival attendees puzzled, as numerous people vented their disappointment on social media following their anticipation for the main performance.

TopMob has reached out to Professor Green’s representatives for comment.
Professor Green hasn’t said anything about the absent appearance, and there are no new posts on his social media platforms.
Two days prior, he unexpectedly joined forces with the rap artist Native James at the Glastonbury festival on Thursday.
Supporters expressed their dissatisfaction on social media by posting: ‘Last night, Professor Green failed to attend the Chester 7s event at the last minute. It’s unfortunate that you underperformed, especially since many people paid a significant amount for this occasion. You let a lot of people down!’
‘@professorgreen you massive let down!! not impressed’
Previously renowned rugby player, James Haskell, stepped up when needed at Chester 7s, keeping the audience entertained for two hours by spinning records as a DJ following unexpected circumstances.
One of the premier sports and music events in the United Kingdom, Chester 7s, draws a massive crowd annually by offering a unique blend of exciting live performances and thrilling rugby matches.
The popular musician Professor Green, famed for hits such as “I Need You Tonight” and “Just Be Good to Green,” was slated as the headlining performer for the event.

Clearly, it’s not a secret that Pro Green openly discusses his health struggles. This year alone, he disclosed that he was born with the condition known as Pyloric Stenosis.
Babies, from their birth up until they are six months old, may experience a condition where the opening between their stomach and small intestine starts to constrict or narrow.
It very rarely occurs in adults and may develop due to an attributable cause.
The musician disclosed that his persistent gut imbalance, which causes stomach irritation, had aggravated his health problem.
For about two months, he disclosed that he had contracted roseola, which was passed on by his son Slimane – a condition he had successfully avoided during his entire childhood.
Posting a photo of him resting due to a common viral illness, he informed his audience with humor, “Apparently, the person who missed out on having Roseola as a child had to compensate by giving birth to someone who did instead…
Roseola, sometimes referred to as either sudden rash illness or the sixth disease, is a frequent viral condition that predominantly impacts young kids.
Characteristic signs often involve an abrupt spike in temperature, which is then followed by the appearance of a rash as the fever decreases. While it can be distressing, the condition generally tends to be relatively light and clears up within about a week’s time.

In March 2021, the rapper welcomed his first child with girlfriend Karima McAdams.
Posting on Instagram, he announced that his 40-year-old partner had delivered their newborn son, Slimane Ray Manderson, a bit ahead of schedule, two weeks in advance.
Accompanying the image of his newborn son’s head, he shared a lengthy account about their challenging pregnancy. He referred to it as a “roller coaster ride” and admitted that throughout various scary moments, they were worried their baby might not survive.
After his post, he received swift congratulations from his 865,000 Instagram followers, with numerous celeb friends sending him warm greetings.
