Producer Metro Boomin accused of sexually assaulting woman after she passed out drunk in 2016 in new lawsuit
As a dedicated follower of music and someone who deeply respects the creative process, I find myself disheartened by the recent allegations against Metro Boomin. However, it is important to remember that everyone deserves due process and fairness.
Music producer Metro Boomin has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 2016.
The 31-year-old producer, according to TMZ on Tuesday, was named in a lawsuit filed by a woman who identified herself in legal docs as Vanessa LeMaistre, who is asking the court to award her damages for her mental pain and anguish as result of the incident.
In 2016, LeMaistre shared with the court that the loss of her nine-month-old son due to a tragedy had plunged her into deep despair and depression.
In legal papers, LeMaistre stated that she had a good rapport with Leland Tyler Wayne, who hails from St. Louis and was fully named as such, during their joint excursion to Las Vegas in the springtime.
After winning a Grammy, he requested that she join him at a Los Angeles-based studio where he worked, as stated by LeMaistre in court.
According to legal documents, LeMaistre stated that he observed Metro Boomin frequently using substantial quantities of the potentially hazardous drug, codeine. His acquaintances reportedly advised him to exercise caution when handling this harmful substance.
In a conversation at his studio in September 2016, LeMaistre stated that she consumed half a Xanax pill along with a drink during her prolonged bout of depression. The combined intake led to her passing out on a couch due to loss of consciousness.
According to reports from a reliable source, based on court documents, LeMaistre claims she found herself in a bed where Metro Boomin is said to have engaged in unwanted sexual acts, including rape and oral sex.
Metro Boomin informed LeMaistre that both of them were in a hotel room located in Beverly Hills, California, and then she had to leave. LeMaistre stated that she couldn’t recall how she ended up at the hotel.
Later on, LeMaistre discovered she was pregnant, and Metro Boomin was the sole possible father since she hadn’t engaged in intimate relationships with anyone else during that period.
LeMaistre in November of 2016 terminated the pregnancy, she said in legal docs.
In court, LeMaistre stated that she believed Metro Boomin made reference to the incident in question through a song called “Rap Saved Me,” which was a collaboration from 2017 involving Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, and Offset.
Specific lyrics in the chat LeMaistre said in legal docs made reference to the incident followed: ‘She took a Xanny / Then she fainted / I’m from the gutter … ain’t no changing.’
Metro Boomin was involved in a separate sex scandal earlier this year.
In May, some online detectives dug up past tweets of his, which were previously made during the Drake-Kendrick Lamar conflict and didn’t hold up favorably over time. This was reported by XXL and HotNewHipHop back then.
From 2011 to 2013, the singer (born September 16, 1993) – who was then aged between 17 and 19 – posted tweets that contained suggestions of underage sexual activity and references to using Molly, a type of ecstasy.
In a now-deleted tweet on May 6th, Metro Boomin asserted, ‘At age 15, I couldn’t have been a pedophile.’ The claim was reported by various outlets at the time.
