Princess Mary’s nephew Count Nikolai sparks rumours he has split from girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup – after they haven’t been photographed together in a month

It’s reported that Count Nikolai, the nephew of Princess Mary from Denmark, has parted ways with his longtime partner, Benedikte Thoustrup.

As a die-hard admirer putting pen to paper, let me share a tidbit I’ve noticed lately: Nikolai, 25, and his beloved Benedikte, 24, seem to have taken a break from posting their adorable moments on social media since August. It’s been quite the intriguing development for those of us keeping up with their love story!

After the delight I’ve been experiencing from the heartwarming glimpses they’ve given us into their shared moments at numerous high-profile gatherings, this unexpected turn leaves me utterly astounded! It’s like being a part of their love story unfolding right before my eyes.

There’s no formal declaration yet that they’ve parted ways, as they haven’t been spotted out in public together for quite some time – longer than usual since they started dating in 2018.

Over the past month, Benedikte, the creator of Danish hair care brand BénéSoie, has shared a series of stylish modeling photos on Instagram. Notably, Nikolai seems to have missed out on these posts.

The most recent occasion they were pictured together was during Benedikte’s runway debut, which took place on August 12 at the Copenhagen Fashion Week.

The pair were seen posing up a storm together for the cameras in complementary monochrome outfits. 

Recently, the fashion model Nikolai, formerly a member of the Danish Royal family, shared a collection of photos on social media showcasing his lavish European vacation. Notably, Benedikte was absent from any of the pictures taken together.

For quite some time now, Nikolai has been romantically involved with a stunning brunette lady, frequently spotted at high-profile, red carpet functions alongside him.

In the year 2022, she traveled with him to Australia, where he was moving for several months to attend the University of Technology Sydney for a semester.

Nikolai, son of Prince Joachim of Denmark, who is the younger sibling of Prince Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark and husband to Princess Mary, occupies the seventh position in the succession to the Danish throne.

In March 2023, Count Nikolai of Denmark established a fresh Instagram profile to boost his modeling endeavors, following the removal of his royal title ‘HRH’ by his grandmother, Queen Margrethe.

2021 proved to be a turbulent year for the Danish Royal Family, marked by controversy when the monarch decided to remove title privileges from Prince Joachim’s eldest son, as well as stripping titles from his younger children, Athena, Prince Felix, and Prince Henrik.
