Princess Catherine going on summer break, even with only two public engagements, is nothing new
As a dedicated fan following the royal family, I was not entirely surprised by the news that Princess Catherine and Prince William are taking a summer break from public engagements. The princess has always prioritized her children during the summer months, ensuring they have quality time together as a family. With three young ones at home, it is essential for them to create cherished memories and enjoy their childhood.
After Princess Catherine and her daughter Princess Charlotte attended Wimbledon on July 14, reports emerged that the Wales family would be having a summer break. Given that this was just the second outing of the Princess of Wales in 2024, it’s no surprise that many are discussing their upcoming vacation on social media.
According to Page Six’s latest article, an “inside source” revealed that Princess Catherine will withdraw from all public engagements for the remainder of the season. It’s common for such news to originate from “insiders,” as they often provide information to the media.
Despite who breaks the news, it’s not shocking that the Prince and Princess of Wales are having a summer break. With three young children at home, they have consistently prioritized spending time with their family during summers. Given the challenging year the royal family has experienced, particularly the Princess of Wales, it’s expected they will be out of the public eye for a while.
Princess Catherine typically takes time off during the summer to spend time with her children
As a dedicated gamer following the latest royal news, I have to admit that it seems unlikely for the princess to make any public appearances or attend royal events before fall at the very earliest. Why you ask? Well, all three of her children, the Wales’ brood, are expected to be back in school by then. And to add a layer of uncertainty, none of us can predict exactly when the future queen will resume her duties and join in on these engagements again. So, my fellow gaming community, let’s just sit tight and keep our eyes peeled for any updates on this developing story.
Considering her health issues, it’s understandable that Princess Catherine would be cautious about returning to her public duties. She has a loving family to attend to and, as expressed in a letter before Trooping the Colour, she acknowledged having “good days and bad days.” Consequently, even after her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, resume their schooling, Catherine might continue taking things one day at a time regarding work commitments.
