Prince Harry is set to get a massive inheritance once he turns 40 on September 15
As a hardcore royal family fan and avid gamer of “The Crown” RPG, I must confess that this news about Prince Harry’s upcoming inheritance from his great-grandmother has left me utterly astounded! Growing up, I always admired the British monarchy for its rich history and tradition, but lately, I’ve been following their lives closely, especially the princes.
On September 15, Prince Harry reaches the age of 40, marking a significant milestone in his life. Coinciding with this birthday, he stands to receive an substantial inheritance. It seems that this inheritance is even more generous than what Prince William received for his 40th birthday.
Based on New York Post reports, when Prince Harry turns 40, he’ll receive a gift from his late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, thanks to an estimated $90 million trust she set up for her family. However, keep in mind that such substantial inheritances often come with conditions regarding the distribution of gifts.
With regard to Prince Harry, it appears that he had to reach the age of 40 before receiving approximately $8.5 million in cash payments. This amount is reportedly greater than what Prince William will receive, but since William is the future king, he’ll instead gain funds from the Duchy of Cornwall – a private estate that finances his public, charitable, and personal endeavors tax-exempt.
Prince Harry is set to inherit over $8 million from his late great-grandmother when he turns 40
As a gamer, I’ve heard some chatter that since Prince William is financially set with the Duchy of Cornwall and future king perks, it’s actually Prince Harry who will pocket more than half of the £14 million inheritance they received from Queen Elizabeth I.
Prince Harry’s larger share of the inheritance than his brother can be explained by several factors. First, at the time the inheritance was set up, Harry didn’t have the same level of financial resources as his brother because he wasn’t entitled to the same access to the royal family’s funds. Although Harry did receive a stipend as a working royal, it wasn’t as substantial as what his brother received. Additionally, since Harry is no longer a working royal, the inheritance serves as a more significant financial boost for him.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have an estimated net worth of approximately $60 million from various post-royal family projects, are now set to receive an additional inheritance. This unexpected windfall may spark controversy on social media, with some criticizing the couple for accepting the long-awaited inheritance.
How do you feel about the recent news regarding Prince Harry’s inheritance? Were you taken aback by the size of the fortune he is set to receive from his great-grandmother?
