As the popular series Mr. & Mrs. Smith gets ready to film its second season, a new showrunner has been brought on board. The series, which premiered on Prime Video in February 2024 and received positive feedback, is based on the 2005 action movie of the same name and stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as spies pretending to be married.
Anna Ouyang Moench, the writer behind shows like Severance and Beef, will be taking over as showrunner for season two of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. She’s replacing Francesca Sloane, who led the first season. Mark Eydelshteyn (from Anora) and Sophie Thatcher (from Yellowjackets) are still confirmed to star as the new Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
