Prime Video quietly adds Dave Bautista’s new movie
Dave Bautista’s new action movie The Killer’s Game is now available to watch on Prime Video.
According to Jay Bonansinga’s 1997 novel titled “The Killer’s Game“, the story revolves around the character played by the Marvel actor, Joe Flood, who is a hitman. After receiving a diagnosis of a fatal illness, he sets up his own assassination.
But once he learns that his initial diagnosis was incorrect, Joe finds himself having to evade a horde of assassins intent on taking his life.
After debuting in movie theaters in September, the film directed by JJ Perry has recently been discreetly placed on Amazon Prime Video without much fanfare or prior notice about its arrival on the streaming service.
In “The Killer’s Game,” Bautista teams up once more with his “Guardians of the Galaxy” colleague Pom Klementieff. Alongside them, you’ll find other notable cast members such as MCU actor Sir Ben Kingsley, Terry Crews from “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and Sofia Boutella, who stars in the upcoming production “Rebel Moon.
As a huge fan, I was genuinely excited for this film with such an impressive ensemble, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Critics seem divided, giving it a 47% rating based on 49 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
The site appreciates the choice of Dave Bautista in a romantic role, which is unexpected, but overall, this predictable hitman comedy doesn’t offer much in terms of originality or creativity.
However, the audience score is much more positive, sitting at a solid 79%.
Bautista will appear in JJ Perry’s upcoming movie titled “Afterburn“, characterized as a “tale of post-apocalyptic exploration.” This story unfolds 10 years following a solar flare that destroyed all technology worldwide.
In a new adventure, the chosen actor assumes the part of a former soldier transitioning into a treasure hunter, on a mission to retrieve the legendary Mona Lisa painting before a dangerous warlord manages to claim it. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Samuel L. Jackson will portray Valentine, a courageous freedom fighter in this exciting storyline.
In another exciting turn of events, I’ve been given the role of a villain in the forthcoming animated film adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. Unfortunately, they’re keeping tight-lipped about the specific characters and storylines for now. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
