Prime Video has just added a new spy thriller called Agent Zeta. The Spanish movie, released today, is full of action, secrets, and unexpected twists, and follows an agent trying to find a spy who’s managed to escape a dangerous assassination attempt.
The film stars Mario Casas and Mariela Garriga, known for her role in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. It’s directed and co-written by Dani de la Torre, who also directed the original Retribution – a film that was later remade with Liam Neeson.
Agent Zeta investigates the simultaneous murders of five ex-Spanish spies at embassies around the world. Spanish intelligence discovers all the victims were part of a covert operation in Colombia thirty-five years ago, alongside one other individual who survived the recent attacks.
The synopsis revealed that locating him is the CNI’s top priority, and they’re assigning their most skilled agent, Zeta, to lead the search. However, Zeta won’t be working solo; he’ll have support on this mission.
Colombia is also searching for him, deploying their top agent, Alfa, who appears to have a better understanding of “Ciénaga” than Spanish intelligence. As Zeta and Alfa delve deeper into the case, they’ll face numerous risks and expose long-hidden secrets and government wrongdoing.

It turns out there was a seventh agent, codenamed “CASSIEL,” a mysterious and unknown spy who appears to be the key figure responsible for all the killings.
In addition to the lead actors, Agent Zeta stars Nora Navas and Luis Zahera. The screenplay is credited to Oriol Paulo and Jordi Vallejo, who wrote it together.
Prime Video has also added several other titles today, including the action comedy Avenging Angelo starring Sylvester Stallone (from 2002), the horror film The Cabin in the Woods with Chris Hemsworth (2011), and the documentary Cat Heaven Island (2016), which focuses on cats.
