Prey’s Amber Midthunder lands next lead movie role alongside Alan Ritchson
As a seasoned gamer and movie buff who’s seen his fair share of action-packed narratives, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation at the prospect of Amber Midthunder and Alan Ritchson teaming up for ‘Painter’. The script penned by Derek Kolstad, coupled with Garrett Warren’s directorial debut, promises a high-octane ride that could potentially birth an exciting new franchise.
In a new development, the actress Amber Midthunder, known for her work in “Prey,” has secured another leading part in an upcoming film. She will be sharing the screen with Alan Ritchson, who is recognized for his role as “Reacher.
According to Deadline, it’s me who’ll be starring in the high-octane film titled “Painter.” This action-packed movie revolves around a unique female protagonist who possesses exceptional abilities. I’ll be utilizing these talents to save my father from captivity.
John Wick’s scriptwriter, Derek Kolstad, has penned down the storyline, while Garrett Warren, who previously worked as a stunt coordinator on films like Logan and Avatar, is directing this upcoming project. According to recent reports, there’s optimism that it could launch a fresh action movie series.
Drew Simon, head of production at Infrared, declared in a statement that “Painter” is set to become a defining action movie for its time, transforming Midthunder into a modern-day counterpart of Sarah Connor from the “Terminator” series.
We were really fond of Kolstad’s fast-paced screenplay, and with Garrett Warren directing, it’s bound to ignite a thrilling new series in the realm of action movies.
The movie is set to seek a purchaser during the upcoming American Film Market, which is happening soon.
Next year in March, the initial movie by Infrared titled “Novocaine,” featuring both Midthunder and Jack Quaid, will be released.
In just the past month, it’s been revealed that Ritchson has landed roles in not one but two upcoming projects. Firstly, he’s been chosen to star in the romantic film titled “Counting Miracles“, which is an adaptation from Nicholas Sparks’ book bearing the same name.
In just a handful of weeks, it was announced that he had been chosen for the action-packed movie “Runner”, with Scott Waugh from the “Expendables 4” team set as director.
Simultaneously, the production for the Netflix film “War Machine,” featuring Dennis Quaid as one of its actors, commenced in September.
It’s safe to say he’s a pretty busy man.
