As a seasoned Outlander fanatic who’s been through the thick and thin of time travel with Claire and Jamie, I can confidently say that the impending release of episode 10 in season 7 has me more on edge than a Highlander atop a cliff during a storm. The heart-wrenching separation of our beloved couple, the mysterious return of characters like Geillis Duncan, and the ominous absence of Brianna are enough to make any fan’s heart skip a beat.

I still can’t believe Droughtlander is over and we’re here talking about our favorite show, but thankfully we are! And we’re going to be here for a while. There’s so many feels we’re left with after the return to Lallybroch and Scotland in last week’s episode of Outlander season 7 part 2. And we learn that the beloved Ian is very sick and doesn’t have much time left.

Additionally, Claire receives a call to return to America as Lord John Grey requires her medical skills for his nephew. What transpires next? By examining the episode summary, trailer, and initial snapshots, it appears that a multitude of events are about to unfold in episode 10. Let’s dive into all the details, including the release date and time!

As a devoted Outlander fan, I can’t wait for season 7 episode 10, “Brotherly Love,” which airs on my screen first thing Friday, Nov 29, 2024, at 12 a.m. ET via the Starz app. For those who prefer the traditional approach, it will also be broadcasted at 8 p.m. ET on the Starz channel. The series always delivers new episodes every Friday, and I appreciate the flexibility to stream ahead of the television broadcast. No matter how you decide to watch, let’s savor the adventure together!

Due to the time zone variance, opting for streaming will let you catch the event in the evening on Thursday, which is also known as Thanksgiving. That’s the kind of holiday viewing experience I appreciate! Below are the release times according to time zones:

Starz app

  • East coast: 12 a.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 29
  • West coast: 9 p.m. PT on Thursday, Nov. 28
  • Midwest: 11 p.m. CT on Thursday, Nov. 28
  • Mountain: 10 p.m. MT on Thursday, Nov. 28

What is Outlander season 7 episode 10 about?

To begin, let’s take a look at the synopsis and promotional material for Outlander season 7 episode 10:

Claire and Ian travel to Philadelphia to assist the sick Henry Grey, while Roger and Buck stumble upon an unexpected hint in their pursuit of Jemmy.

Initially, it should be noted that Claire and Jamie have parted ways at present. Claire, accompanied by Ian, is bound for the colonies to assist Lord John’s nephew. Young Ian has joined them with aspirations of forever winning over Rachel Hunter’s affections. Meanwhile, Jamie remains in Scotland to comfort ailing Ian and his sister Jenny during their tough period.

It concerns me greatly that something unfortunate may occur while Jamie and Claire are separated, as Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan hinted themselves. Frankly, separating Jamie and Claire is never a good idea. I’m incredibly anxious, especially since Lord John mentioned “Claire, some bad news.” I have a strong suspicion that this news is somehow related to Jamie.

In a striking resemblance to the moment in the Outlander season 7 part 2 trailer when Claire exclaims, “If his had stopped beating, I would feel it in my heart – mine would too,” it seems we’re witnessing a similar setup and costumes. Oh dear, does this indicate a tragic turn of events for Jamie, leaving us to wonder if he’s met with harm? Given that we know he’s alive, I can’t help but ponder how long Claire will hold onto this belief. Sigh!

In another part, indeed Roger and his companion Buck continue searching for Jemmy, and during their journey they encounter Geillis Duncan. Could it be that we’ll also witness the return of Dougal MacKenzie on our screens soon? I truly hope so! Meanwhile, Rachel and William make an appearance in the preview as well.

But noticeably absent in any of the promotion for the episode is Brianna in the ’80s. Hmm. There’s also the introduction of new cast member and character Gloria Obianyo as Mercy Woodcock. You can see her in the image below! And keep scrolling for some more peeks into the episode.
