PrettyLittleThing Erases Social Media Amid Jacqueline Jossa Scandal!

PrettyLittleThing has baffled fans after wiping their social media accounts.

This popular fast-fashion label, known for its celebrity partnerships (including a stint with Molly-Mae Hague from Love Island as the creative director), has taken down all content across Instagram and TikTok.

Currently, the account is managed by just one person – Umar Kamani. However, his biography hints at a significant announcement set to be unveiled on Monday.

It states: ‘Legacy in Progress – 03.03.25’.

In a bid to clarify puzzled followers, the brand hinted mysteriously: ‘We’re venturing into uncharted territory for us… Can you make an educated guess?’

PrettyLittleThing’s big announcement coincides with a scandal at their rival brand – In The Style.

On a Thursday, Jacqueline Jossa openly spoke up against In The Style, calling for them to fulfill their financial obligations to her. This action was taken after legal representation became necessary as the clothing company grappled with potential bankruptcy.

The EastEnders actor, aged 32, is said to be seeking legal advice concerning an alleged undistributed significant amount of money, estimated to be in the thousands, from a clothing label following their partnership.

In the year 2020, Jacqueline became associated with an online clothing company, a partnership estimated to be valued at around £1 million.

Nevertheless, events have significantly shifted as the actress has found it necessary to engage with the brand personally on social media platforms, expressing her frustration over not receiving any responses from the company.

In 2013, Adam Frisby established the fashion company, however, it was taken over by the UK-based private equity firm Baaj Capital for £1.2million in March 2023. Ben Armstrong took on the role of managing director when Frisby stepped down towards the end of 2023, but he has since departed from the business.

On Thursday, Jacqueline shared on her Instagram stories: “I didn’t anticipate that my journey with In The Style would conclude like this after four wonderful years. However, due to the fact that neither I nor my team have received a response from anyone within the company, it seems the decision has been made for me.

Despite not receiving payment for several months, my name and likeness continue to be utilized across the entire site, aiding in the brand’s sales of stock.

She went on to say, “I notice they’re adding more people and introducing new lines, and I think it’s important for the new recruits to understand that their contracts might not be fulfilled and there’s a possibility they won’t receive payment.

Following my warning that I might reveal certain matters, last week, the Managing Director scheduled a call with me during one of the busiest weeks of my professional life for EE live. Regrettably, he failed to attend the call, leaving me and my team on hold for approximately 20 minutes before we logged off. Since then, he has ignored all emails I’ve sent him.

Jacqueline clarified that she hasn’t openly discussed any brands she’s collaborated with, but now feels it’s necessary to stand up against one that’s showing disregard. Moreover, she stands in solidarity with all the other women who haven’t received their due payment.

I simply yearned for a peaceful departure and fair compensation. If you, too, have encountered this injustice, don’t hesitate to reach out via DM. For now, my fellow shoppers, let us be cautious when considering purchases from that place!

It seems you might have noticed that I haven’t spoken about this topic since prior to Christmas. However, they continue to utilize my images and sell my collections without any updates on where the proceeds are being directed. It’s all quite peculiar.

A business may face administration when it’s unable to repay its outstanding debts. In such a situation, a limited company could eventually be forced into liquidation if it continues to struggle with debt payments. Creditors (individuals or organizations) that the company owes money to can petition the court for debt recovery.

The prominent figure from the soap world expressed gratitude towards Adam Frisby, a former CEO who left his position in December 2023, and Jamie Corbett, another key player, for their contributions to the company.

In closing, I’d like to express a somewhat brighter sentiment. A big thanks goes out to both Adam and Jamie for kick-starting this exciting adventure. It was an absolute pleasure when you two were part of it, and the past four years have been nothing short of extraordinary.

@ft15by, thank you for the cherished moments and extraordinary adventures. I’m deeply sorry that such an unfortunate event has impacted your stunning enterprise. I can’t help but feel heartbroken for all those involved.

Oh boy, let me tell you about my unforgettable journey with In The Style! Working alongside legends like Adam and Jamie was more than just a job – it felt like a dream come true. We jetted off on amazing trips together, creating memories that I’ll cherish forever. From the breathtaking sights we saw to the thrilling experiences we shared, it was all beyond incredible!

I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone on the team, even though many of you may not be here now, your contributions are greatly appreciated.

She concluded the sequence of posts by encouraging the In The Style team to reach out to her and settle the outstanding debt she is entitled to.

The star playfully commented: ‘It would be wonderful if someone from In The Style team could respond to my agents’ messages. If Ben, Matt, Chris, Phoebe, or any other team member with good manners could reply, that would be great. Or even better, settle what I am owed! Thank you.’

TopMob have contacted representatives of In The Style for comment.

Jacqueline’s Instagram is brimming with photos showcasing her different clothing lines for the brand, which remain available for purchase on their online store.

Meanwhile, it appears that matters have taken a turn for the worse, with reports suggesting that Jacqueline intends to file a lawsuit against the company.

Earlier this month, a source informed The Sun that the company has faced allegations of not paying talent their due fees for extended periods. Some individuals have reportedly taken steps towards legal action and successfully recovered partial payments of what was owed to them.

Others are currently attempting to recover debt, but there’s growing concern that if they enter administration, it could significantly complicate matters instead.

Jacqueline is entitled to a substantial amount of money, more than ten thousand pounds, and she’s seeking legal advice on how to proceed. It’s frustrating that the company continues to sell clothing online, even items from Jacqueline’s own line.

The article mentions that Jacqueline received a commission according to the profit generated by the sales of her line of products.

The company was founded by Adam Frisby in 2013 but he is no longer involved in the business.

According to Sky News reports, The Style appears to be close to bankruptcy and has reportedly hired FTS Recovery to manage its affairs as an administrator.

According to the source, there’s a possibility that Baaj Capital might face an early resolution of its financial difficulties through a pre-arranged bankruptcy process.

Over the past few years, the value and financial success of this fast-fashion retailer, known for partnerships with celebrities like Stacey Solomon, Dani Dyer, and Charlotte Crosby, have taken a downturn compared to previous periods.

Additionally, it’s not just Jac who’s expressing this view; influencer Carys Louise Brandon has made a similar statement as well.

She took to her Instagram story to call out the brand for failing to pay her, and for being dishonest, manipulative, and exploiting the fact that she is a budding content creator.

I, a devoted follower with over 180,000 of my own, have found myself in a peculiar situation. Despite repeatedly reaching out to the finance team, they seem to be choosing to disregard my messages altogether, failing to even acknowledge them.

In the midst of the company’s challenges, renowned Strictly Come Dancing performer Dianne Buswell has become the newest celebrity to join the brand. Her inaugural capsule collection will debut towards the end of January.
