Prestige Requiem Sona for Act 2 of LoL’s Demacia season

The new Prestige Requiem Sona skin for League of Legends continues the Demacia storyline in Season 2026, Act 2, and it looks fantastic.

Sona is getting a stunning new Prestige skin called Prestige Requiem Sona! It’s coming in Act 2 of League of Legends’ 2026 Season 1, which is themed around Demacia. Here’s a sneak peek at all the details.

Prestige Requiem Sona will be available on the S1 Act 2 battle pass as the final reward.

So, the battle pass costs 1650 RP, but it’s not just about buying it! You actually have to play and grind out missions to level it up and unlock everything. It’s a bit of work, but totally worth it if you want all the cool rewards.

Okay, so I was watching Sona in-game, and it was seriously moving. She was decked out in her best mourning clothes, playing this amazing song – a real hero’s ballad. It started off powerful and triumphant, like a celebration, then faded into this really sad, quiet melody. It was like she was pouring all her grief into it, a tribute to a friend who’d fallen. It felt like she wasn’t just playing a song, but telling his story, and it’s one of those tunes that’s going to stick with me – and probably everyone who hears it – forever. It’s a song that won’t be forgotten, ever.

The artwork depicts Sona mourning Xin Zhao after his death, as shown in the ‘Twilight’s End’ cinematic. News of his passing has reached Demacia; in the story ‘Salvation’, Yunara returns Xin Zhao’s spear to King Jarvan IV.

This is Sona’s second Prestige skin, following the release of Prestige Immortal Journey Sona in August 2023.

The Demacia Act 2 battle pass will also include Corrupted Petricite skins for Maokai and Xerath.

These character designs aren’t central to the main storyline, but they imagine a different world where Maokai and Xerath gain their powers from a tainted version of petricite. Petricite is the magical substance found in the special trees that Demacia is built with, and it normally cancels out magic.

I’m so hyped! Patch 26.5 is coming on March 4th, 2026, and it’s bringing some awesome stuff to League of Legends. We’re getting the Prestige Requiem Sona skin, the really cool Corrupted Petricite skins, and the whole Demacia Act 2 battle pass. I can’t wait to jump in!
