Pregnant Vanessa White reveals her baby’s gender as she reflects on her intimate London wedding with just TWO guests

Okay, I’m so excited! Vanessa White is having a baby, and she just revealed whether it’s a boy or a girl! Honestly, I’m still reeling from hearing about her wedding – it was tiny, just her and two guests in London, so intimate and perfect! I’ve been following her forever, and I’m just completely overjoyed for her and her little one!

The singer from The Saturdays, Rochelle Humes, announced on Monday that she married her fiancé, DJ Emmanuel Lawal, at Hackney Town Hall. She is 36 years old.

Vanessa and Emmanuel are expecting their first child, a baby boy, and are planning a large celebration in Mallorca next summer.

For their official wedding ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, the couple kept it intimate with only two witnesses, including their photographer. ‘It was lovely,’ Vanessa shared with British Vogue. ‘I highly recommend couples eloping and doing it just the two of them.’

Vanessa also shared some happy news in the chat: she’s having a baby boy! She’s especially excited that he’ll be able to attend their wedding.

‘Knowing that he will be there is the nicest thing,’ she said of him being their pageboy. 

Let me tell you, Vanessa absolutely glowed at her wedding! She wore this gorgeous, long-sleeved silk gown from the Self Portrait X Christopher Kane collection – the lace detailing was just beautiful and really made the dress special. It was the perfect choice for her big day!

Last month, she shared the exciting news that she’s engaged and expecting a baby. Emmanuel proposed on November 8th during a weekend getaway in the Cotswolds, and they quickly became engaged and started a family.

Emmanuel explained that with Vanessa being pregnant and Christmas approaching, things were already very busy, so they kept delaying their plans.

‘Then we realised if we didn’t sort something soon, it wasn’t going to happen.’

Vanessa said finding her wedding dress was stressful, especially because her body had been changing recently.

It’s funny how you picture your wedding outfit, and I originally thought I’d wear a stylish suit for the registry office. But then I found out I was pregnant, and that idea definitely wasn’t going to happen!

As soon as I put the dress on, I knew it was perfect. It just felt right.

Vanessa styled her own hair and completed her look with a vintage-style headband by Jennifer Behr and Christian Louboutin shoes. She carried a bouquet of elegant calla lilies.

The singer wore a Norma Kamali dress to dinner at Alex Dilling in the Hotel Café Royal, where the chef closed the restaurant to accommodate them privately.

Vanessa shared that they had a fantastic, hours-long celebration, complete with a beautiful fig cake as their wedding cake. They were then driven home in a chauffeur-driven Bentley at 11 p.m.

According to sources, Vanessa and Emmanuel began dating during the lockdown and became very close quickly.

Emmanuel shared that his proposal caught Vanessa off guard – she was still in her bathrobe, having just returned from a massage.

Okay, so while Vanessa was getting her massage, I finally went for it. I’d been stashing everything away for ages, and I just… unleashed it all! I transformed the garden into this magical scene with candles and lanterns everywhere, and even had some sparkling cider chilling – she doesn’t drink alcohol, you know, and I remembered! It had to be perfect.

Vanessa and Gary Salter dated for several years, beginning when Vanessa was 21, but their relationship ended in April 2017.

Just half a year after their breakup, she starred on the show I’m A Celebrity, and afterwards claimed she had a fantastic experience.

Vanessa has been dating DJ and model, Emmanuel for four years, with a year-long break-up in 2023. 

Rumors of a romance between the two began in August 2020 after they were spotted getting close in Marbella, Spain. They confirmed their relationship on Instagram in December of the same year.

The singer first became well-known in 2008 as a member of the girl group The Saturdays, alongside Mollie King, Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, and Rochelle Humes. The group disbanded in 2014.
