Pregnant Stephanie Davis shares the sweet moment she tells son Caben, 7, he is going to be a big brother during family holiday

On Thursday, Stephanie Davis posted a heartwarming Instagram video where she and partner Joe McKalroy inform their son Caben that they’ll soon have a new family member as a ‘big brother’.
Previously known for her roles in Hollyoaks and Coronation Street, the 31-year-old actress has a seven-year-old son named Caben, who she shares with her ex-partner and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Jeremy McConnell.
As a devoted follower, I was spotted lounging on the sandy shore alongside Stephanie and Joe, sharing a bag filled with a ‘big brother’ T-shirt and an ultrasound photo of hers.
Previously open about her experiences, the soap actress experienced a turbulent ride in her quest for fertility following a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2021.
Stephanie, who had earlier shared that they had been attempting to conceive for two years and were considering IVF, then became pregnant naturally. As she gently touched her expanding belly, she joyfully announced to Caben, “Mommy is going to have a baby.”
The boy leaped up enthusiastically, scattering sand, and circled around before snuggling close to Stephanie to examine the image on the scan.
Stephanie and Joe were clearly delighted by Caben’s response, as they gave him a warm embrace and each placed a kiss on his head.
Later on, Caben inquired, “What’s the method for having a baby?” This question left the couple giggling, and then he clarified, “Ah, I see now why there’s a noticeable bump.”
Afterward, the actress appeared quite emotional as her small son hastily moved close and planted a kiss on her expanding belly.
She appeared stunning in a long, white dress with a deep neckline that plunged, showcasing her toned midriff as she lounged elegantly on the sandy beach.
Even though Stephanie felt a bit anxious initially, she later called the revelation ‘flawless’, as she observed Caben deeply absorbing the news.
She wrote: ‘Well… This was the most perfect moment. We told Caben on the beach on our holiday. I was so nervous to tell him, it was such a big moment and one he hopefully remembers for the rest of his life
Oh, the sheer joy I felt, peering into those young eyes of his, seven years old and grappling with such immense news. For as long as I can remember, he’s been yearning for a sibling – a brother or sister to share his world with. As the truth unfolded before him, it was almost palpable: the whirlwind of emotions swirling within that little mind. It was an indescribable sight, a moment etched deeply in my heart.

Previously, Stephanie openly shared that her experience with fertility has been like riding a roller coaster, following a heartbreaking miscarriage in the year 2021.
She explained the couple had been trying to conceive for two years and were even exploring IVF, before falling pregnant naturally.
As a lifestyle expert, I shared with OK!: “I conducted a pregnancy test at my mother-in-law’s house, and to my astonishment, the results were positive. Over the past couple of years, I’ve performed countless tests and even recorded them on video – it was during the one instance where I didn’t that the test showed a positive result!”
She went on to recall how she and Joe, who she met in a group therapy session in 2021, were left ‘sobbing’ after a scan revealed they were excepting a baby boy.
Joe doesn’t usually shed tears, but when he began to weep, it triggered my own emotions. We ended up consoling each other with tears streaming down our faces. Even the nurse in the room couldn’t hold back her tears.
2022 saw Stephanie Davis disclose that she and Joe had experienced a miscarriage during the early stages of an unpublicized pregnancy, specifically three weeks in.
Sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram, indicating that she awoke one day and no longer felt like she was expecting.
At that moment, she expressed: “I had held off sharing about this until I felt prepared, and I don’t believe I ever will, nor does anyone else who experiences the same thing. However, here I am sharing it.”
Indeed, some of you have inquired about my situation when I abstained from certain rides at Southport, and many of you were sharp-eyed to pick up on the changes. I’m delighted to confirm that your intuition was spot on; we were expecting a new addition to our family! And yes, I was indeed pregnant.
‘We found out from so, so early on it felt like we were pregnant for sooo long. If you remember I came off social media for a while, it was because we had a miscarriage. I was nearly nearly 12 weeks pregnant (3 months).
From the start, I experienced severe illness (to put it mildly, it was quite a debilitating sickness; I felt so queasy and was constantly vomiting). Moreover, my hormones were erratic, which made every moment seem prolonged in the journey of having our baby.
“One evening, I began experiencing severe headaches, and by the next morning, I informed Joe, my mom, and Joe’s mother that I no longer felt pregnant. They understand my anxiety, but they believed the baby would be okay since our previous scans showed a strong heartbeat. However, as a mother, you somehow intuitively sense…”
Stephanie shared that she and Joe were deeply saddened after experiencing a miscarriage, as they believed everything would be fine since they had passed the 12-week milestone.
Experiencing the anguish, grief, and sorrow we’ve been through was simply unbearable. My partner Joe and I were filled with enthusiasm and had already imagined and mapped out a life for our family of four.
I had been preparing for the baby shower, assuming everything would go smoothly as I progressed. However, the unexpected turn of events came as quite a surprise to me.
When they informed us there was no longer a heartbeat, I barely recall anything beyond that point – I was utterly devastated.
The well-known television personality was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital for a surgical procedure, and following the operation, she sadly expressed feelings of being “devoid of sensation and void” or simply “unfeeling and hollow.”
She mentioned: ‘I underwent a procedure to deliver our baby since it was advanced, and I wouldn’t have managed everything without my unwavering pillar, Joe. My mother, Joe’s mother, Jane, and Cath were incredible, along with the support from our family and my management.’
Following the surgery, I felt a profound numbness and emptiness, with my hormones seemingly out of control. Accepting that what was once there was now gone, our shared path seemed to have reached its end. Through it all, Joe stood as my steadfast support, and my love for him continues to grow stronger each day.
Last year, I too endured a heart-wrenching loss when my partner, Oliver Tasker, and I experienced a devastating miscarriage – a painful event that left us both deeply affected.
During the Celebrity Big Brother stint in January 2016, Stephanie found herself in a challenging romantic situation with Jeremy, Caleb’s father.
Their on/off relationship resulted in public spats, domestic violence and a consequential three-year restraining order.
In August 2017, Jeremy faced charges related to domestic violence following allegations that he physically attacked Stephanie during an altercation influenced by drugs. As a result, he received a sentence of 20 weeks in prison, but this term was suspended for a period of 12 months. Additionally, he was ordered to complete 200 hours of community service.
