Pregnant Sophie Kaseai’s boyfriend Jordan Brook is released from hospital weeks after being admitted amid viral meningitis and encephalitis battle

Sophie Kaseai, who is pregnant, is happy to have her boyfriend, Jordan Brook, home from the hospital. He recently recovered from a serious bout of viral meningitis and encephalitis.

As a health and wellness advocate, I want to share that Jordan, who’s 31, recently let everyone know he’s been dealing with viral meningitis. Basically, that means he’s had inflammation around his brain and spinal cord, and he’s been working through it. It’s good he’s been open about it, as awareness is so important!

This is a different type of meningitis to the outbreak of bacterial meningitis B in Kent.

Jordan also fought encephalitis, a rare and dangerous swelling of the brain that could have been fatal.

Jordan recently announced to his fans that he’s feeling better and will be leaving the hospital soon.

He posted a video on Instagram expressing his gratitude to the doctors and nurses who treated him, and saying farewell.

Sophie, who was pregnant, was there to meet him. They shared a tender moment as Jordan knelt and kissed her baby bump.

Jordan shared that they spent 22 days in the hospital, and their first stay resulted in memory loss. Doctors said they had one of the most severe cases of viral meningitis and encephalitis they’d ever seen, causing brain swelling and inflammation. As a result, Jordan is primarily left with memories they wish they could erase.

‘Let’s not dwell on the past. I have got through it, and I could never have got through this alone.

First off, Sophie and our baby boy have been my rocks and given me the strength to keep going. You both mean everything to me, and I love you more than words can say. I’m so excited to cuddle up with you tonight and begin our future as a happy, healthy family of three.

Dad, I’m so incredibly grateful for everything you’ve done. You’ve always been my hero, my strength, and my inspiration. I feel so lucky to have you as my father. If I can be even half the dad to my son that you were to me, I’ll consider myself a success. Thank you for being there for me, especially during that difficult time in the hospital – those nights holding my hand meant the world. I love you, Dad – you’re my best friend.

Mom, thank you for working overnight hospital shifts on top of your regular job. It meant so much that you managed to take care of both Grandpa and yourself, all while staying strong. You’re an incredible woman, and I love you so much. I’m incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Jordan expressed his gratitude to his extended family and friends for visiting, saying he’ll always appreciate their support.

He ended his message by thanking the doctors, nurses, and all the staff at Basildon Hospital, saying they had become like a family to him and expressing his deep gratitude for everything they had done for him.

I’m incredibly grateful for your kindness, understanding, and support, especially when I was at my lowest. You never gave up on me, and I truly believe you saved my life. You represent the best of the NHS and are an amazing, hardworking, and compassionate person.

Oh my gosh, I was absolutely FLOODING Jordan with messages when I heard! Seriously, I typed ‘SO GLAD TO HEAR THIS!! Xx sending lots of love’ so fast! Everyone was, it was amazing – ‘Wonderful news!! So happy for you guys and your family too!’ – just pure joy all around, honestly. I couldn’t stop myself!

So happy to hear she’s finally home! Wishing you all the best, and a quick recovery for Sophie.

So glad to hear you fought hard and made it home – amazing work! It’s incredible how happy you can feel for people you don’t even know, and I’m feeling that right now.

Jordan and Sophie are thrilled to be expecting a baby boy, and Sophie is currently seven months pregnant.

Sophie, 36, shared that the past month had been incredibly difficult for her family. She explained that her son, Jordan, experienced seizures as a result of side effects from meningitis and encephalitis.

She told fans: ‘Worst month of our lives I never wish this on anyone.

I’m entering my third trimester now, and I’m eagerly awaiting the day I can bring our baby home. I’m looking forward to spending these final weeks getting ready together.

Right now, that’s all I can focus on. Life is full of surprises, and going through tough times really makes you value the good things.

‘Thank you for all your messages we will get there’.
