Pregnant Sophie Kasaei says it’s been ‘the worst month of our lives’ and issues a health update as boyfriend Jordan Brook remains in hospital battling viral meningitis and encephalitis

Sophie Kasaei, who is pregnant, shared that the past month has been incredibly difficult for her and her boyfriend, Jordan Brook, as she provided an update on his health via Instagram on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old reality TV star recently shared that he was hospitalized with brain swelling two weeks ago.

Over the weekend, Jordan shared that he’s been diagnosed with viral meningitis, which causes inflammation around the brain and spinal cord. This is distinct from the recent bacterial meningitis outbreak in Kent.

He’s also been diagnosed with encephalitis, which is a rare and serious brain inflammation that can be life-threatening.

Sophie recently shared that Jordan experienced frightening seizures as a result of side effects from meningitis and encephalitis.

I stopped by home to rest after spending the entire day at the hospital with my sweet child. It’s still a frightening experience, but Jord continues to show incredible strength, and we’re determined not to let this difficult illness defeat him.

‘Our baby keeps him going more than ever. He keeps us all going.’

He has both viral meningitis and encephalitis. It’s important to note this isn’t the bacterial meningitis currently in the news – this is a viral form. Right now, we’re focusing on the encephalitis and its effects.

Seeing a loved one suffer from viral encephalitis or meningitis is a truly frightening experience.

It’s frightening to see someone having a seizure, but he’s getting excellent care. We’re all supporting him through this, and thankfully, my family is taking good care of me as well.

She continued: ‘Worst month of our lives I never wish this on anyone.

I’m entering my third trimester now, and I’m eagerly awaiting the day I can bring our baby home. I’m looking forward to spending these final weeks getting ready together.

Right now, that’s all I’m focusing on. Life is full of surprises, and going through tough times really makes you value the good things.

‘Thank you for all your messages we will get there’.

Sophie shared a cute photo of her baby bump and announced she’s 28 weeks pregnant.

This news follows Sophie’s recent statement about how quickly life can change, as her boyfriend Jordan is currently hospitalized and fighting viral meningitis and encephalitis.

As someone who often travels for work, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to finally reach a destination only to face such a heartbreaking situation. I’m absolutely devastated to share that I just arrived in Jordan on Friday, and now I’m living a nightmare watching my partner in the hospital. It’s a really tough time, and I’m just taking things one day at a time.

The expectant mother, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child, shared photos of happier moments and revealed she’s going through the most difficult experience of her life.

She wrote: ‘Life can come at you really fast. Literally in the blink of an eye.

One moment you’re envisioning a life with someone, and the next, you’re in a hospital, desperately hoping for the best.

It’s incredibly painful to watch someone I love suffer and feel helpless to stop it. Even amidst all this difficulty, knowing about our baby gives me hope – a reminder that even in the hardest times, life continues and holds onto hope.

It’s incredible how quickly life can change, bringing intense fear and overwhelming love at the same time. This experience has taught me not to take anything – or anyone – for granted.

I’m falling more in love with you every day, Jordan. This whole situation feels like a bad dream, and I’m just so thankful you’re here fighting for us. I can’t wait to wake up next to you.

‘Our little baby boy is what is keeping this family going. I love you @jordanbrook11’.

Oh my gosh, I was SO worried when I saw Jordan’s video! He posted it from the hospital, and he said the swelling in his brain is actually getting worse. It broke my heart! But he tried to stay positive, saying they’re not completely out of danger yet, but they’re making progress. I’m just sending all my love and hoping he gets better soon! It’s just… everything feels so scary right now.

In the video, he explained that he’s finally able to clearly talk about what’s been happening. He acknowledged the rumors and questions surrounding his situation, and revealed that he received a diagnosis yesterday.

I recently found out I have both viral meningitis and encephalitis. Basically, I have inflammation of the brain and the surrounding tissues caused by two different viruses targeting the same area. It’s a serious condition, and definitely not minor.

I’ve undergone a lot of tests, including CT scans, MRIs, and a lumbar puncture. Since being admitted to the hospital, I’ve received continuous care. I’m currently receiving fluids through an IV, along with antiviral medication, pain relief, physical therapy, and monitoring for potential seizures, as there’s a slight risk of them happening right now.

I’m really struggling because the swelling in my brain is increasing. Even everyday tasks are becoming difficult.

He asked his fans and friends to ignore rumors and conspiracy theories about his health, advising them to be careful about what they read online.

Okay, so it’s not like people are just hating or saying I’m terrible, though honestly, I’ve seen some awful things online. It’s way more serious. The swelling in my brain is really bad, and the doctors are throwing everything at it – pumping me full of meds and steroids, just trying to get it down. It’s scary, honestly, but I’m trying to stay positive. I just want to get better and get back to… well, everything.

‘I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be.’

He then turned to his pregnant girlfriend, Sophie, and continued, ‘Right now, my priority is getting healthy.’

I’m so grateful for my partner, Soph, and she’s taking wonderful care of our baby boy. My biggest wish is to be a healthy, present dad, able to spend time at home with my family and be there for my son. That’s what I’m working towards.

‘This won’t beat me. I will get out of this.’

He expressed his gratitude to those thinking of him and asked everyone to be kind and supportive, not only to Soph, but to anyone facing similar challenges.

Jordan recently revealed his diagnosis in a video, explaining that he’s been dealing with both viral meningitis and encephalitis – something he felt ready to share for the first time.

This is serious. We’re facing tests, treatment, and a lengthy recovery. Please be cautious about information you encounter – not everything you hear is accurate.

I’m currently focused on recovering my health and returning home to my family. I’m thankful for the incredible care from my doctors, the love of my family, and all the support I’m receiving.

‘Life can throw curveballs when you least expect it. I will not beat – JB ❤️.’

I saw a really interesting post from Jordan earlier this week. He shared a black and white photo on Instagram of himself relaxing in bed, and it felt pretty personal to see.

He also wrote a short message: ‘Just another day in paradise. Hoping things improve soon, or for a little luck.’

He didn’t go into any further detail about his condition at the time.

Sophie announced on Friday that she is now able to visit Jordan in the hospital, as doctors have confirmed he is no longer contagious.

It’s been difficult, but I’m finally able to see my son, Jords, because he’s no longer contagious. I’m so impressed by his strength, and we’re facing this as a family. Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers – we’re hoping for a better day.
