Pregnant Shaughna Phillips admits she’s been an ‘anxious wreck’ and hints at her due date after confirming she is expecting second child with jailed boyfriend Billy Webb

Shaughna Phillips shared that she felt extremely anxious during the early stages of her second pregnancy, as she struggled with concerns about her health.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the exciting news that Love Island sensation, aged 31, has confirmed the arrival of her second bundle of joy, due soon! This joyous addition will be shared with her partner, Billy Webb, who is currently serving time. Together, they already cherish their two-year-old daughter, Lucia.

In an interview on Thursday, Shaughna disclosed that she became pregnant when her menstrual cycle aligned for the first time with visits from imprisoned Billy at home.

Currently, Shaughna has been candid about the challenges she faced during the early stages of her pregnancy, which she discussed in a set of personal ‘diary entries’ that she posted on Instagram last Friday.

The television host filmed the video while she was approximately six and a half weeks into her pregnancy, and discussed her concerns about her health as she expressed her apprehensions.

Additionally, she disclosed that she is scheduled to have her second baby in November, and shared the story of how she was attempting to conceive with Billy when she became pregnant.

In the video, Shaughna mentioned that she has a prenatal checkup scheduled for the 24th of March. At that time, she will be approximately seven weeks pregnant, which means it’s roughly two weeks from now.

I’m struggling to see how I can make it until then, as I really need assurance that everything will be alright.

My health concerns are persistent, as they initially stemmed from postpartum anxiety that left me feeling debilitated. Over time, it seems like this anxiety has shifted and evolved, becoming more focused on my overall health.

‘So this pregnancy I’ve been a very anxious wreck.

I’ve been quite inactive on my social media platforms as I seem to find myself with little else happening in my life beyond managing my own wellbeing. I simply want to ensure that things are going smoothly for me.

Moreover, Shaughna shared insights into the initial phase of her pregnancy and confessed that she felt incredibly fortunate to have conceived after initial attempts with Billy.

She continued by saying, “From the moment of conception itself, since that was when I was attempting to become pregnant.

I made my initial effort at becoming pregnant on that day, and amazingly, it was successful! I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful, whether it was the 11th or the 12th of the month.

‘I’m due, I believe early November-ish, and I’m planning on doing a pregnancy diaries.

I find it unusual with option two since, in option one, there’s an element of uncertainty about the depth of your affection for your child. With option one, while it’s a given that you’ll love your baby, there’s an element of surprise. In contrast, with option two, you already know what to anticipate in terms of love because the experience is more predictable.

As an ardent admirer, I find myself in a quandary: “How in the world will I be able to adore this new character as deeply as I do Lucia? I understand the feelings may evolve over time, and I’m not apprehensive about that transformation. Yet, for now, my mind is baffled by the idea.

Did I change the course of Lucia’s life significantly, or will she always look back on a period that was solely between us?

‘Certainly, it has been a remarkable two-year journey for me, one I won’t forget, but I fear she may not recall it. Does that make me sad for her? It reminds me of my childhood as an only child – it was wonderful.’

On the day I received the news, I felt as if I were experiencing nausea, yet I believe it wasn’t due to placebo effects. Instead, I suspect it was because I had just realized I was pregnant, which triggered thoughts such as “I have morning sickness… cramps…” Indeed.

In her Instagram post, Shaughna wrote: “I’ve created these videos since learning about my pregnancy, it feels strange to rewatch them now!

I find myself astonished that I initially felt it was slow-paced, but now it seems as though things are moving at an accelerated pace, and a brief moment of pause to catch my breath would be most welcome!

‘Anyway welcome to the pregnancy diaries!’

Later on, she casually commented, “By the way, haven’t I told you lately how much I’ve been loving my lips recently?” This remark was in relation to her recent choice of getting her lip fillers dissolved.

In April 2023, a baby girl named Lucia was born, and shortly afterward, Billy, who was 29 at the time, received a prison sentence of nine years. This came after he confessed to being involved in a plot to distribute approximately 4.5 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of £360,000 or more.

Because he’s imprisoned in a Category D facility, Billy gets to return home for several days every month. During this time, it was shared that Shaughna conceived her child while navigating those specific prison circumstances.

Shaughna informed The Mirror, “For the first time, my fertile period happened when Billy was at home.

In a casual manner, I found myself thinking, “Why not give it a try?” The very next day, I told Billy, “I believe I might be pregnant.

She went on to hint that Billy is set for early release and will be here for the birth.

She knows when her partner is expected back home, yet she’s hesitant to disclose the exact date as unexpected events might occur. However, she hopes with all optimism that he will return home completely before her own due date for delivery.

A source revealed: ‘Billy has been held in a Category D prison, allowing him more freedom to interact with Shaughna for extended periods.’

Despite not being fully released as some had anticipated, he still found his way home for Christmas – something very meaningful to both her and Lucia. His circumstances have granted him more freedoms than others might expect.

In Category D facilities, less secure prisoners with a low-risk classification are granted more freedom. They can depart the premises for employment, resettlement, or educational pursuits during the daylight hours.
