Paloma Faith has shared disturbing experiences from her time working at a fetish club before becoming famous.
The 44-year-old singer recently shared her experiences with her mother, Pam, on her podcast, Mad, Sad and Bad.
Paloma shared that she took a job at an adult club to supplement her income when she was first starting her music career.
Let me tell you, my journey took a really interesting turn! I actually started working in burlesque, and that eventually led me to a job at a pretty intense nightclub called the Torture Garden. Honestly, it was a bit of a wild experience – it definitely pushed my boundaries!
‘There are images in your head in life that if you can avoid putting them in there, you should.’
Paloma described seeing two people defecate on each other, and Pat responded with disgust, saying she wouldn’t have wanted to witness such a thing.

The singer, known for the song ‘Love Can Hurt Like This,’ also shared that they had witnessed terrible things happening to others, describing it as awful.
It had a certain quirky appeal. I remember one man in particular who seemed completely harmless – he used to kiss my shoes whenever I arrived.
I allowed it because I figured it was a safe environment for him, and he’d likely face judgment elsewhere. He’d ask if he could kiss my shoes, and I’d quickly agree, telling him to hurry because I had a performance soon. He would then kiss all of my shoes, and after he was finished, I’d just move on.
Paloma observed that the people frequenting these clubs were often those who felt restricted in their everyday lives. It was a space where they could explore a different side of themselves – perhaps going from a conservative office job to expressing a bolder, more liberated persona. She suggested this outlet was important for them, as they may have lacked that freedom elsewhere.
Earlier this month, Paloma, who is pregnant with her third child, shared a photo of herself using a nebulizer after being hospitalized with the flu. She explained the nebulizer was helping her breathe.
Paloma posted a selfie wearing a black sweatshirt and cap, thanking Homerton Hospital for treating her flu with a nebulizer.
Paloma recently revealed she’s feeling anxious about being pregnant in her forties, and shared some new photos showing off her growing baby bump.
Okay, so I just shared some pretty personal news – I’m pregnant at 44! Honestly, it’s a little scary, and I’m definitely feeling a mix of emotions. I’m really trying to project calm and positivity, hoping that if I act calm, I’ll actually feel calm. It’s a bit of a ‘fake it ’til you make it’ situation, but I’m hoping it works!
‘I couldn’t be more happy about another baby and I’m bracing myself for the storm…’

Paloma recently showed off her dedication to staying fit throughout her pregnancy by sharing a workout video with her fans.
She appeared fit and cheerful while working out, wearing a black Nike crop top and high-waisted leggings.
Looking tired from the photoshoot, the expecting mother – who is dating Stevie Thomas and is due to have their baby – playfully posed for the camera, demonstrating her commitment to staying healthy before the baby arrives.
She shared an update saying she’s 23 weeks pregnant with her third baby and is still working on staying active, tagging her trainers, Rob Solly and Vicky Ziff, in the post.
She expressed her gratitude to them for helping her career, noting she’d been added to Rob’s client list alongside stars like Olly Murs and Emma Willis.
Paloma shared wonderful news on Instagram in October: she and Stevie are expecting their first child and she’s already 18 weeks along!
She announced her pregnancy with a playful post, writing, ‘Surprise – I’m a mom again!’ She also used hashtags referencing her age and pregnancy stage, including #morethangeriatricpregnancy and #18weekspregnant.
The actress and her ex-partner, Leyman Lahcine, have two daughters. Their first daughter was born in December 2016, and their second in February 2021. The couple, who were together for nine years, separated in 2023.
