Pregnant Michelle Dockery reveals her growing baby bump after arriving at NBC Studios for interview with Jimmy Fallon  – as actress admits she’s entering her ‘peppy phase’

On Tuesday evening, Michelle Dockery openly shared that she’s embracing a lively and energetic stage in her life, as she anticipates the arrival of her first child alongside her husband, Jasper Waller-Bridge.

At the highly-anticipated UK premiere of Downton Abbey’s final episode, The Grand Finale, in September, the actress made heads turn by revealing a noticeable baby bump to her fans, leaving them surprised.

She glowed as she carried on with her promotional duties, making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During this visit, she reminisced about the “bittersweet” conclusion of Downton Abbey after a remarkable 15-year journey.

Attending the event in a sleek black dress paired with stylish patent leather shoes from the artisan brand SAUVEREIGN, Dockery, aged 43, radiated happiness while interacting with spectators upon exiting the New York City studio for the show.

The British celebrity finished off her outfit with a stylish leather raincoat and darkly-tinted spectacles as she struck poses for photographers, then entered the building prior to an upcoming talk show interview with Fallon on television.

She replied to the host, saying, “I’m doing wonderfully,” when he brought up the topic of her pregnancy. “I guess you could say I’m in a lively stage.

The actress confessed that she harbored a blend of emotions when deciding to end her tenure on Downton Abbey, a series where she played the iconic character Lady Mary Crawley, a role that significantly shaped her career.

She expressed a mix of joy and sadness as she reflected on the franchise, which has been airing for fifteen years on ITV, and its upcoming third movie.

‘It’s been a very long goodbye, but I think it’s in the title. This is definitely the last one.’

On September 12th, we find Downton Abbey: The Final Chapter taking place in the year 1930, approximately 18 years following the initial episode’s airing.

The story unfolds, focusing on the Crawley family as they navigate their lives in the wake of the Wall Street Crash and Lady Mary’s controversial divorce.

2015 proved devastating for Dockery as her beloved partner, the 34-year-old Irish publicist John Dineen, passed away after a 15-month struggle with a unique type of cancer. His loss left her grief-stricken.

In 2023, she got married to Jasper Waller-Bridge, who is the younger brother of the acclaimed actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, famed for her role in Fleabag. The intimate ceremony was graced by her fellow cast members from Downton Abbey.

It was first reported by The Mail on Sunday that Dockery found love again, following Dineen’s passing, after they became acquainted through common friends.

In January 2022 the couple announced they were to marry in an announcement in The Times newspaper.

A formal announcement has been made: Jasper (son of Michael Waller-Bridge from King’s Lynn, Norfolk) is getting engaged to Teresa Waller-Bridge from Battersea, London. Additionally, Michelle Dockery, the younger daughter of Michael and Lorraine Dockery from Gidea Park, Essex, is also part of this engagement.

Born and raised in Romford, Essex, Dockery hails from parents with diverse backgrounds. Her mother, Lorraine, is a caregiver residing in Stepney, East London, while her father, Michael Dockery, is a surveyor originally from Athlone, Ireland.

Waller-Bridge spent her childhood in West London, with parents Teresa and Michael, who are now wed to Rosemary Goodenough.

The actress has been nominated for three consecutive Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.
