Pregnant Katherine Ryan shows off her growing bump in a black bra as she reveals what’s in her hospital bag ahead of welcoming her fourth child

She is preparing to welcome her fourth child with her husband Bobby Kootstra.

Katherine Ryan shared a video on Instagram Friday showing her packing her hospital bag, revealing her growing baby bump as she prepares for the arrival of her child.

The 42-year-old comedian showed off her baby bump wearing a black bra and blue leggings while filming a mirror selfie. She added the caption, ‘What’s in my hospital bag?’ to the video.

She opened her suitcase and started to explain what she’d packed, saying people had been curious about her hospital bag. She clarified that she wasn’t planning on a long stay and therefore didn’t require many items.

I ordered custom onesies from Etsy for a baby boy and girl, with the names we’ve chosen, but we’re still not completely sure about anything.

We were able to get a spare set from Jamie Laing and Sophie at White Company. Violet is taking one home with her for good luck.

‘I got a swaddle bag, nappies, breast pads, Hevea dummy, Frida cooling pads, Frida wipes, nappies.

‘Boy shorts, labour and delivery gown robe, Skims pyjamas for when I’m showered, and toiletries.’

She went on to list everything she was packing, including face wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and even nipple cream – just in case, though she wasn’t sure she’d actually need it.

She showed off a Joonbyrd body cream, explaining she’d bought it from Cult Beauty. One of the containers was labeled ‘Violet’.

I picked up some toner, Caudalie as a little luxury, toothpaste, and natural deodorant without sulfates.

‘Cosmetic Consult face and body wipes, and some little treats for my eyes (shows eye drops).

‘And a quilted robe.’

Alongside the post, she penned: ‘What’s in my hospital bag? (tbh not much).’

Katherine and Bobby have been a couple since 2018, but they’ve known each other much longer – they grew up together as kids in Canada.

They were childhood sweethearts who briefly separated, but their love was rekindled after one of them moved across the Atlantic Ocean.

The couple had previously shared on their family’s reality show that they were open to having a fourth child.

The show followed the couple as they worked on their relationship in therapy and then sought help at a fertility clinic.

In February’s episodes, Katherine revealed she understood it would be difficult to have a fourth child, considering both her and Bobby were older.

Katherine explained that it’s understandable women are having fewer follicles these days. She also pointed out that male fertility is decreasing significantly, but she personally still hopes to have another child – a fourth baby.

We feel incredibly lucky to have our children. Raising kids isn’t easy, and it’s not for everyone, but I truly enjoy being a parent. I think it’s amazing that people are able to create and nurture new life.

She shared that she and her husband had always been able to conceive easily, but they had experienced several miscarriages.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about family planning, and I’ve personally experienced how quickly things can happen – I’ve been pregnant five times in five years! But it’s also important to be real about the challenges. Sadly, that also meant I had three miscarriages within that same timeframe, and it’s something many women face, especially as we get older. The chances of miscarriage do unfortunately increase with age, so it’s a topic we need to discuss openly.

In an interview with OK! magazine last year, she also said she wouldn’t consider surrogacy. While she believes it’s a wonderful option for some, she explained that she personally feels it could be exploitative.

Appearing on the Chris Moyles Show in November, she admitted: ‘I’d have so many more if I could.

I think if I were a father, I’d want to be like Robert De Niro – having children at any age, even later in life. It’s definitely possible, you just need to be willing to do it.
