Pregnant Jorgie Porter shares intense video of fiancé Oliver Piotrowski struggling to put out huge fire after their garden shed goes up in flames
As a compassionate observer, I find Jorgie Porter’s journey to be truly inspiring. Her resilience and courage in the face of adversity are commendable. Losing quadruplets in 2021 and then suffering another miscarriage at six weeks before having Forest must have been heart-wrenching experiences. Yet, she continues to share her story openly, helping to destigmatize pregnancy losses and bringing awareness to the rollercoaster of emotions expectant mothers go through.
Jorgie Porter recently posted a heart-stopping video showing her partner, Oliver Piotrowski, trying to extinguish a massive flame, as their garden shed’s roof burned last Sunday.
36-year-old actress (who is expecting a child) shared CCTV clips on her Instagram Stories, which showed a 35-year-old property developer rushing to put out a fire.
The video captures Ollie dashing through his backyard towards the shed as it’s engulfed in fire, with the blaze rapidly spreading upwards.
He can be seen trying to use a stepladder to reach the fire, but then slips and falls to the floor in the rush, while Jorgie’s mum Julie comes to help.
In this scenario, the man with two children is spotted later on, retrieving a fire extinguisher and climbing a ladder to reach the rooftop of the storage shed in an attempt to put out the flames.
Meanwhile, Ollie posted the video on his Instagram, disclosing that his attempts were unsuccessful and he ultimately needed to summon the fire department for assistance.
He captioned the clips: ‘Don’t think I’d make a fireman’ and quipping: ‘Fireman Sam, eat your heart out. Failed and had to call in the big boys.’
Revealing that the shed had also been where the couple had planned a new home gym, he sadly added: ‘No new gym for me for a while longer.’
Even after the harrowing event, Jorgie seemed to reassure everything was fine afterwards, as she posted a bright selfie on Instagram early Monday, taken at their home.
Standing gracefully in front of a mirror at her beautiful residence, she tenderly held her growing belly, dressed casually yet elegantly in beige maternity pants and a coordinating shirt.
As I am now carrying my second bundle of joy, a child with my partner Ollie, following the arrival of our son, Forest (who turned 21 months old in November 2022). It’s worth mentioning that Ollie is already a loving father to his 10-year-old son, Alfie.
Back in May, the actress from Hollyoaks made a public announcement about her pregnancy, and just recently, she took a babymoon trip to Italy with her future spouse.
Eagerly seizing every moment of solitude before our second bundle of joy makes its grand entrance, I whisked myself away for a sun-drenched weekend getaway in enchanting Rome.
Jorgie’s long-awaited vacation followed after she openly discussed her anxiety during pregnancy, having just posted pictures from a recent ultrasound session.
Previously, she endured a heartbreaking event when she lost her four babies through a miscarriage in the year 2021. Later on, she experienced another loss at the six-week stage of pregnancy before giving birth to Forest.
Sharing a scan update in July, she wrote: ‘All is goooooood! Baby is a little wriggler. Feel so happy knowing all is ok. Waiting for scans can make me feel so anxious.’
However, it was later disclosed that she had been enduring a seldom-discussed, agonizing complication in the late stages of her pregnancy, which affects many women.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I recently took to Instagram to share a snippet of my day-to-day activities. However, amidst the hustle and bustle of performing routine chores, I was unexpectedly struck by a sharp, searing pain – what I can only describe as ‘lightning crotch’.
As a devoted enthusiast, I’ve come across this term “lightning crotch” from BabyCenter. It’s described as an intense, bolt-like sensation originating in the pelvic region and potentially racing down the thigh. Quite a vivid image, isn’t it?
Pregnant women ‘may start to feel the pain which can be slight or take your breath away occasionally in your third trimester’.
The pain typically lasts no more than a few seconds and is not dangerous but can be very uncomfortable.
Jorgie wrote: “Why isn’t this topic discussed more among pregnant women? I was simply minding my own affairs and going about my day… when suddenly, it hit me!”
“I completely overlooked this detail. Can you share some lesser-known pregnancy symptoms that people tend to forget to mention?”
