As I graced the red carpet at the Into Film Awards in London last June, I proudly unveiled that I was anticipating my first bundle of joy – a momentous revelation, indeed!
The actress, who is 43 years old, displayed her expanding belly by choosing a casual outfit consisting of a white top beneath a black vest and a zip-up hoodie.
The celebrity donned a pair of black sports leggings, a black baseball cap, and sneakers, all while maintaining an upbeat demeanor as she strolled her pet dog, waving cheerfully.
Joanne, who was previously married to James Cannon for eight years, is now having her first child with her new partner Mark Turner (aged 45). This change came about following the dissolution of their marriage, which occurred just before the onset of the pandemic in 2020.
By August 2023, it emerged that Joanne had been romantically involved with Mark for a number of months. It was also mentioned that she was deeply smitten by him.
Last year, I (Joanne) had the pleasure of introducing Mark to my circle of friends. We all gathered for an evening out at The Greyhound Italian restaurant nestled in the vibrant heart of Central London, Marylebone. It was a delightful night filled with laughter and good company.
One source close to her revealed: ‘Joanne is having a great time with Mark.’
Joanne was deeply smitten by the new man she met and chose to keep his identity a secret. Ray, Mark’s father who is 72 years old, verified their relationship at the family’s sophisticated semi-detached house located in a private street in the affluent area of Haywards Heath, Sussex.
At the place they call home, alongside his spouse Leslie (age 73), he gave a nod in affirmation upon being questioned whether his son, Mark, was Joanne’s significant other.
However, he chose not to respond to more queries, stating instead, “I’m unable to speak as I’m not permitted to.”

period drama, was left devastated after the breakdown of her eight-year marriage to IT consultant James Cannon, 43, in early 2020.
She was left feeling isolated after the split came at the start of the Covid pandemic and families were separated from loved ones by lockdown restrictions.
But TopMob revealed she is now starting out in a new chapter in her life with Mark at her side.
TopMob’s friend shared that she experienced deep sadness after parting ways with James, but since then, she’s found joy in the company of Mark.
‘She knew from early on that they had something special together.
‘And now her story has a happy ending and she is expecting her first baby.

Joanne, known for portraying Anna Bates throughout all six seasons of Downton Abbey, revealed her separation from James only a few weeks prior to the lockdown.
She mentioned that there has been a brief period apart. She is focusing on the upcoming times. She intends to fully accept this year and observe whatever may transpire.
After a year, by 2021, she confessed that the divorce from her longtime partner had caused significant upheaval in her life.
