Pregnant influencer reveals the reason why she now hides her son’s face in social media posts
Steph Claire Smith has revealed the reason why she no longer shows her son’s face on social media.
30-year-old Australian fitness influencer is at present expecting her second child while already sharing a three-year-old son named Harvey with her spouse, Josh Miller.
Previously, Steph had shared numerous aspects of Harvey’s life on the internet. To this day, her Instagram profile preserves two ‘featured sections’, titled ‘bump’ and ‘Harvey’, which are brimming with hundreds of videos displaying his face.
One fan asked, “I’m just wondering, why is his face being hidden now in these pictures? In your previous stories, I always enjoyed seeing his facial expressions, they weren’t ever covered up.
As a lifestyle expert, I might rephrase that question like this: “I’ve noticed you frequently concealing his face, even though it’s been clearly displayed numerous times before. Could you share the reason behind this?” This way, the sentence remains straightforward and easy to understand while also maintaining a conversational tone.
On her Instagram Stories on Monday, Steph posted a screenshot of her reply to common inquiries and countered the perceived critical attitude behind them.
In her writing, she mentioned that this question is frequently asked. However, she noted that it’s usually asked with a critical rather than an inquisitive tone.
The founder of the KIC app who is based in Australia boasts a significant online presence. On Instagram, he has over 1.4 million followers, while his TikTok account counts 136,000 followers. In 2024, he was recognized by Forbes and included on their prestigious list of 30 individuals under the age of 30.
In her response to the second comment, Steph wrote: ‘As he’s grown older, he’s become more fixed in his child-like appearance.’
In my role as a lifestyle advisor, I’d put it this way: “I found myself becoming noticeable when out in public, even without my presence, which made me uneasy.
Lately, the influencer has been hiding Harvey’s face behind emojis, crossing him out, or posting pictures where their toddler seems to be avoiding the camera.
‘So it’s a decision we have made for now,’ she continued.
Each parent has the freedom to decide for themselves, and they may alter their decisions as well. If you find this situation troubling, it’s something you need to address personally.
In December, Steph and Josh sold their stunning Melbourne pad for a reported $7.8million.
In 2022, the couple purchased a spacious four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence located in Brighton East, for approximately $7 million.
The Palm Springs-inspired luxury home was listed with a price range of $7.35million-$7.65million.
According to the Herald Sun’s report, the trendy, state-of-the-art house was sold within just three weeks after being listed for auction.
As a devoted observer, I haven’t received official confirmation from the real estate agents yet, but it seems that the house was reportedly sold for around 7.8 million dollars. If this information is accurate, it would mean that the sellers are said to have made a profit of approximately 800,000 dollars from the deal.
In 2019, the couple exchanged their engagement vows and subsequently tied the knot on their own property. For a while, they also resided on this same property.
