As a devoted UFC enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that among the stellar lineup at UFC 306, one name resonates more strongly than others – Ronaldo Rodriguez. During his open workout last week, he effortlessly outshone even seasoned fighters like Alexa Grasso and Diego Lopes.
UFC 306 boasts a multitude of top challengers, promising newcomers, and beloved veterans, making it a tough field for any single fighter to shine. However, there’s an athlete on the roster who I believe could still grab the spotlight… perhaps even if he doesn’t emerge victorious in his bout.
Last week, I was among the fortunate few who witnessed an open workout session hosted by the UFC featuring Mexican fighters. Among them was Ronaldo Rodriguez, my personal favorite. Standing alongside his teammate Daniel Zellhuber, Ronaldo truly outshone everyone else present that day, including established figures like Alexa Grasso and Diego Lopes. His exceptional talent and charismatic personality were undeniably the brightest stars in the room.
He was pumped up and prepared, and that energy could explode during the fight night. Rodriguez faces a challenging opponent, Ode Osbourne, on the main card. I believe this fight could last all three rounds, but regardless of the result, Rodriguez might win over some new supporters.

During his public training session, Rodriguez expressed, “I envision myself achieving milestones toward my aspirations, symbolically speaking of overcoming obstacles and moving a step closer to my dreams.” He further added, “The goal, representing Mexico as its champion, is becoming increasingly attainable.
Rodriguez expressed his gratitude, saying, “My brother, I’m truly grateful.” He can’t think of any other reason except divine intervention that brought him here today. On September 14th, he plans to put pen to paper, fulfilling what God has planned for him and what he’s been saying: ‘I will become the next Mexican UFC champion.’
Rodriguez is set for his second bout in the UFC this coming Saturday. He scored a submission victory at UFC Mexico City in February, and now aims to secure another triumph. In the interim, don’t miss the highlights of his pre-event training session!
