What to Read Next
Okay, so things got seriously complicated. This federal prosecutor, Stacy Marks, made me a deal: if I took out Tommy Egan, she’d let me run Chicago. Basically, become the top dog. And once she became mayor, she conveniently looked the other way when it came to my…business. But I wasn’t planning on just letting Tommy live. I started plotting to take him down, and only told my girlfriend, Elise. I even got her to secretly record him making a drug delivery in this area called the Viagra Triangle – it was all part of the plan.

Tommy discovered Elise’s involvement and, instead of harming her, offered her a million dollars to leave Chicago and cut ties with Claudia. Elise agreed and revealed Claudia’s plans.
Tommy knew he was one step ahead of Claudia, so he calmly waited as she forced her way into his apartment, carrying a gun. She was shocked to find him already there, sitting on the couch and expecting her.
Following a fierce gunfight, Tommy punches Claudia three times, and she finally admits to murdering his friend, Liliana (Audrey Esparza), as revealed in season one.
Just before ending the fight, Tommy tells Claudia he has more respect for her than she does for her brother.
Lili Simmons recently told Digital Spy how difficult it was to finish playing Claudia Flynn, describing the experience as “heartbreaking” and sharing what completing her time on the show meant to her.

I felt a sudden sadness, like a part of her will always stay with me,” she shared. “I’m so grateful I had Joseph and Robert Townsend, the director, to work with – they were both wonderful. The whole crew was there, and it was just incredibly emotional. It was heartbreaking, but also filled with love and a sense of completion. It felt like saying goodbye to everything, and closing a chapter.
Simmons explains that Tommy’s last words of respect were incredibly meaningful to Claudia before she passed away.
He finally gave her the respect and appreciation she’d always craved, and that meant the world to her, particularly coming from a man since she hadn’t received that from the men in her life before. It truly meant everything to her.
The actor also discussed how his character’s brother, Vic Flynn, might respond to learning about his sister’s death caused by Tommy Egan. He explained that Vic had just decided to reconnect with his sister and work with her again, but unfortunately, he didn’t realize it was too late.
He’s understandably upset about losing his partner. Even though it was difficult for him to forgive me for what nearly happened, family is family. I’m his sister, we share a bond, and while I don’t expect him to be happy, I’m not sure just how deeply he’ll be affected. We’ll just have to see how he reacts.
New episodes of Power Book IV: Force season 3 are released every Friday on MGM+ (through Prime Video in the UK) and Starz (in the US).
