Post Malone Exploits Legal Loophole in Custody Battle for Shocking Twist Against Ex-Fiancee
Recently in Post Malone‘s custody case updates, the music star has requested a court hearing to take place in Utah.
29-year-old rapper known as Congratulations has stated through legal documents submitted by his lawyer Laura Wasser (as per TMZ’s review) that the child is being brought up in the state of Utah.
In the Los Angeles County court, Jamie Park, who is the child’s mother, submitted a comparable request, asking the court to grant her primary custody of the three-year-old. The media outlet stated that, based on their examination of legal documents, the rapper would be given minimal visitation rights instead.
The artist who was nominated for a Grammy and recently drew attention due to weight loss, testified in court that the child’s mother filed the case in Los Angeles primarily to gain an advantage in the legal proceedings.
In the court proceedings, Wasser highlighted that the young girl has established important connections with Utah. These ties consist of her caretaker, pediatrician, along with her enrollments in music, physical education, and swimming classes, as detailed by the lawyer in the submitted court documents.
Dailymail.com has reached out to Malone’s reps for comment on the report.

Born and raised in Grapevine, Texas (under the birth name Austin Post), he made an announcement in June 2022 about the arrival of his child. However, he didn’t share the baby’s mother’s name at that time. Simultaneously, it was also revealed that he was engaged to the child’s mother, though her identity remained undisclosed. Fans have since started referring to her as ‘Jamie.’
In March, it became clear that the artist known as Circles and ‘Jamie’ had parted ways. More recently, he has been spotted on several dates with a popular social media personality named Christy Lee, and they were seen sharing a public show of affection in Paris this month.
A week ago, it was disclosed that Jamie goes by the name Hee Sung Park in court documents seeking full physical custody of her child, as reported by Page Six.
According to the court documents mentioned by In Touch Weekly, it’s claimed that Park was found and served legal documents at a luxury LA parking garage, exactly two days before his scheduled performance at Coachella.
I’ve been privy to some intriguing rumors – it’s said that a renowned artist was reportedly hosted at a high-end residence in the heart of downtown L.A., where a penthouse apartment fetches a whopping $22,995 each month.
According to the process server’s account, he allegedly delivered the documents directly to Post at approximately 1 pm on Friday afternoon.
This year, he was the headliner for both performances on Sunday nights at Coachella. In his last show, he invited Ed Sheeran and Jelly Roll to join him on stage.
In the legal papers filed by Park in the Los Angeles Superior Court’s family law division last month, she has chosen to call her and Post’s child merely by the initials DDP.

In this scenario, the mother of the child who is two years old has applied for complete physical custody. However, she has proposed shared legal decision-making responsibilities, and she is also amenable to granting visitation rights, commonly known as ‘parenting time’.
According to reports, Park claimed in recently submitted legal papers that DDP had been residing with her starting from November, as per TMZ. In the same court filing, she requested that her former partner should cover her legal expenses. The documents also disclosed that their child was born back in May 2022.
Regarding child support, she mentioned that the court has the authority to establish orders for the support of the kids and even directly deduct payments from one’s wages, without providing additional notification to either party.
The post is said to have recently filed sealed custody papers in Utah, the place where he primarily resides, but he hasn’t responded to Park’s latest submission as of now.
Just last month, I was beyond thrilled to learn from TMZ that ol’ Kanye West, my beloved artist, filed his papers in Utah before Kim Kardashian-West did. If the reports are true, it seems he might be able to pocket a substantial chunk of change! I can hardly contain my excitement about this potential money-saving move from my favorite rapper and fashion icon!
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share some intriguing insights about my beloved star’s recent move. Rumors swirl that he decided to file papers in Utah because, well, he and his ex had been sharing custody equally in this state. But there’s more to it than just that! You see, Utah is known for being rather frugal when it comes to child support payments, which could be a significant advantage for him, financially speaking, compared to California.
Regardless of Park’s attempts to transfer the case to California, it appears that the case will stay in Utah instead.
It has been claimed that Park relocated to California earlier this year, primarily to secure residence and potentially benefit from a more advantageous legal environment within the state’s judicial system.

Initially, the contents of Post’s filing have been kept confidential due to being under seal, leaving us with limited information about it. Interestingly enough, just a day after Park made her plea for sole physical custody, photographs emerged showing Post seemingly breaking the law by holding an open container of Bud Light in the backseat of a black SUV in Los Angeles last month.
In California, it’s against the law for individuals to have an open or unsealed container of alcohol within easy access while in a vehicle, whether it be in a cup holder, glove compartment, or any other space that could be reached by someone inside the car.
Over the past few weeks, it’s become common to see Post out on various public outings with his young girlfriend, Christy Lee, who graduated from Parsons School of Design and is said to have interned under famous fashion stylist Kristina Askerova.
In June 2022, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Post revealed that he had recently welcomed a new daughter into his life and also announced his engagement to Park.
In 2023, I disclosed a surprising truth: two years prior, my fiancee and I had made our commitment official in a spontaneous Las Vegas ceremony. However, on that initial, somewhat impulsive occasion, I was under the influence and she declined my proposal. She wisely advised me to propose again the following day when I was sober and could express my intentions more thoughtfully.
He confided that he had unfortunately lost a considerable amount of money while gambling, which he discussed on Call Her Daddy. Later, in an intoxicated state, we went upstairs and he blurted out, “Hey, will you marry me?” He had a ring and other trappings ready. But she declined, suggesting he ask again the next day. Sober the following day, he followed her advice and asked again, and it was a more pleasant interaction.
I can’t help but express my admiration for Park; her heart, so vast and compassionate, is a clear indication to me that she’s the ideal match for me.
As for me, I’ve harbored a deep desire for a large family with children, and it was evident that she would make an exceptional mother. She casually mentioned, “I’m not just any mom; I’m the best mom in the entire universe.
